i'd rather trade him for a couple role players w/less talent making a combined similar dollar amount if i have to... buying him out does nothing but help another team get a talented scoring G for pennies on the dollar.

I don't trust Isiah to make a good trade so I just want these guys off the roster as soon as possible without adding crap. Rather just sign two guys form the NBDL. But you are probably right.

there are deals to be made... hell, Raef LaFrentz got traded last night... we can trade Steve Francis, i have no doubt about it... maybe we can squeeze a future late pick... it's worth a shot... every possible avenue needs to be explored before we resort to that extreme.

Raef got traded in a trade where Boston got back Theo Ratliff. Those are two below-average centers to be exchanging. We can trade Stevie, but you have to expect to get back another guy who is overpaid and wore out his welcome.

I'm with Solace on this. I have no doubt that Isiah can find a way to trade Stevie. After watching what he did with the Shanvis Eisleyspoon roster there is no doubt that Isiah can trade anyone. What scares me is what we get back.

true, qwoods and JB are the couple of role players...but the thing about francis is that there are teams that would give us "something" for francis that doesn't involve us taking back more salary or more physical bodies. can we take back an MLE or two?

dude... thanks to guys like JJ, Mo T, etc we are at 12 guys now. Unsigned are JB, Q2 and the 2 picks. Since NBA rosters are 15 someone's gotta go.

dumb dumb dumb moves. We could have just let Vin Baker and Moochie walk. Then instead of Mo T we could have drafted a guy like PJ Tucker or Milsap with our draft pick WE GAVE AWAY TO GET THAT JERK OFF.

As much as I want these players to do well I just cant stomach another year of Isiah. The guy is a wrecking crew. He really is BS personified

like i said, i don't think we're going to re-sign Qyntel now that Isiah drafted Balkman, but i could be wrong... that's just my best guess... seems like we don't need a scoring SF like Qyntel unless Isiah can somehow unload Jalen Rose

I like your thinking RV but but we have Isiah as GM, not Obi-Wan Kenobi (these arent the droids your looking for)

Malik is a good lockerroom guy, he's worth keeping around.

I would look to ditch MoT and Francis, if we're looking to delete the cancers from the roster.
