I just want the players to use the Summer wisely and see what they can do next season. I'll take Isiah as headcoach for now and put everything to past, just as long as he can't do anymore damage.

"I'll make my own dogs." I pretty much think that means we will improve at the draft and from within'.

there's one problem with all of this.

Its great to hear a guy say stuff like "I will make dogs" and "I will get them to play defense"

Here's problem. All this takes great work and effort on the parts of the players. This has nothing to do with ISiah, it has everything to do with the players. If they dont like the grinnder he's putting them through they can dog it anytime, and Isiah is gone at the end of the year.

Are these guys here next year???
Mo T: "I'm a piece of meat"
Francis: "Fans come to see ME play. I put people in the seats."
Marbury: "Time to be Starbury again."
Jerome James: "chomp chomp chomp..."
Jalen Rose: "Hey... I'm one of Brown's guys"

Larry was right about some things... we do need to waive guys.
Take any expiring contract(s) for Francis and eat them.
Waive Mo Taylor.. we already have 3 PFs on the roster without him, and would be better off with a guy like Milsap at pick 30 than Mo T.

Nice vets for the young guys to look up to, eh?

Where's H20 and JYD, the guys who give it their all no matter what.

I am not in favor of waiving ANY player, but I would "TT" them ala CHI. Hey, there is always a small chance that a good trade will come along that Jalen, MoT, or Francis can be apart of.

Why is everyone so quick to get rid of Francis?

Its Isiah/Dumars all over again, Starbury and the Franchise!!!! DOGS!!! PLAYING DEFENSE.

Isiah will be all talk until the Knicks come out and actually play defense, rebound, and win.

until then the ship will still be sinking

I'd waive them purely for roster space, and I say waive Mo T and Jalen, flat out b/c I want nothing stupid done with their contracts, and I just want them away from the team.

then keep Jalen for his expiring deal (because those have brought us so much)

You cant cant cant eat Francis's contract, but I think moving him for an expiring contract or two may be feasable.

NIce Kool Aid stuff.

Isiahs words have no meaning to me. He has a great history of saying what the fan wants to hear.

Let the actions speak on the court. IF Larry was so disliked he can use that as a rallying point that he took care of larry and now its time to take care of Isiah and the knicks! IF they won't run thru walls for him, he is dead man coaching!

Nalod, are you planning on getting tickets this season? You sound like you are done with the Knicks. I am not renewing my tickets, not so much of the displeasure but other factors. I am just curious how many people on this board are giving up their tickets.

Im thinking of not renewing my tickets to the Charlotte Bobcats. While its a nice team, a great arena, the frequency of games becomes a bit boring.

On TV, I can Tivo the games and watch on my schedule. Even the knicks became a bore to watch. Im a busy guy with family and career demands so I gotta watch my time.

Every year I lose a bit of intensity about being a "fan".

My team this spring won the Stanley Cup! I love hockey also and attend games. Hockey in person is a so much better than on television! And upperdeck seats actually allow you to see more of the play develope! Basketball is good both at home and of course in person. Of course, the closer to the action the better.

Im thinking of keeping my budget in tact and see less games but with better seats. Be a hoot if Larry ever coached the Bobcats one day! My son still plays Ice hockey and travels quite a bit. They play like 60 games so my schedule is quite tight.

Its hard to commit to a team like the knicks that I lose respect more so ever year I consider myself a fan. 36 years is a long time. I have seen so many badly constructed teams over the years by way of coaching mistakes and personel that I am more amazed not that they are dysfuncitonal, but the level of idiotic events that we have escalated to!

Allanfan, I believe it was the infamous Micheal Ray Richardson who said that about the Knicks. And I agree with you, keep Rose and Mo T away from this team, let their contracts just expire.

I agree, Francis comes very far down on the WAIVE list, behind Big Snacks, Rose, and Mo T.

SAS: Your career may very well be on the line. If you don't accomplish Dolan's goals...Steph and these guys hold your future in their hands. What happens if this doesn't work out?

Zeke: I am extremely confortable operating in a pressure environment. I will make sure that our players are comfortable operating, and thinking under pressure.

SAS: what does that mean?

Zeke: It means we wont have to deal with an answer to your hypothetical question.

I love this exchange, lol

tough as a player? sure. but what does toughness and bravado do for you as an executive? and if the knicks lose, then is he still tough? or do the results of the team give an accurate measurement of his toughness?

who cares how tough isiah is. the question is can he coach this group and win with them.

Isiah is tough, and im going to say something that we ALL have 2 realise right now.... This is a FACT:

If these players won't play hard for Isiah, they won't play hard for anyone ever.

So everyone jump on the bandwagon, cross your fingers and prey. Enough of this wanting isiah to fail cuz if that happens lord we are in about a big a hole as possible. What gm would take the job after him?

I think we mean that he won't wilt under the pressure of the circumstances. He doesn't have to trash his players all the time to get them to play hard. He's got people skills that LB could only DREAM OF. Just read the expressions from almost all of his former players. They LOVED playing for him. Isiah is close enough in age to these guys to understand how they think. He's also more knowledgeable about the game than people realize. This doesn't mean that he can overcome a lack of talent on the team and I don't think he's even saying that. I just think he'll be able to get out of the players what they truly have to give.

There's a big difference in the amount of influence you can have on players when you're with them day to day as opposed to the GM spot where you deal with them but don't travel with them or practice with them all the time. I think this is a good situation for this team to start growing together. I really long to see the team playing as a united group and fully supporting each other.

I think Isiah will trade Francis for expiring contracts. A draft pick would be icing on the cake. I'm just glad he publicly said he doesn't like him

He didn't say that he didn't like Francis. He only said that they wouldn't have made the trade if not for Larry begging them to take him. I don't know what kind of deal he'll be able to make for Franis. There's a strong chance that he'll still be here this season. It makes things harder in terms of playing time.
