On one point, I heard two interesting things about Jalen Rose from Donnie Walsh on Foxsports. Apparently, Brown still coach of the Pacers singled out Rose as a guy that he wanted Walsh to pursue (which the Pacers did do the season before Brown left) and Thomas asked that Rose be traded which Walsh granted. Interesting I thought. I didn't know that Rose and Thomas didn't care for each other.

Interesting. JoeC was saying Isiah wanted Rose for several years.

I still stand by this. Maybe it was for the contract, maybe for the player. There was a deal in place that we get Jalen for Penny a couple years ago. It was reported on TNT during a game I was watching.

it's true that Jalen has rumored to the Knicks since Isiah showed up, heck he was rumored here when we were trying to dump Spree. but it's also true that Isiah and Jalen didn't exactly get along in Indy and Jalen was moved to promote the development of the kids.

also, even though Larry begged Walsh for Rose, he only played him sporadically and didn't really like him. gee, that sounds familiar...

I can't argue any of that-exept I only remember things getting heavy with Jaln when Zeke got here. I also know that is how Larry is. You cn't argue the truth, but I have to believe that Larry didn't have to twist Zeke's arm too hard to get Jalen (if he was behind getting him), as a matter of fact, I can see why Larry would actually want Jalen...it's the Francis thing I find totally unbelievable, unless it was agreed that Zeke would ship out Steph when he got Francis-That however is for another thread.

btw, none of the columnists were invited to that press event yesterday. I wonder if that's what made their grapes so sour.
