dolan said some very damning things about larry brown. of course, larry will respond with his side of the story.

and then there's the third side which is the truth...and something we'll never know.

after listening to that, all i can say is that there is no way in hell isiah wants to coach this team. he is being forced to and his professional career is in jeopardy. he is really being put in a position to fail. i made a post about this earlier. if they really believed in him, they would give isiah an extension b/c giving him this ultimatum has nothing to do with what's in the best interest of the team. having a lame duck coach doesn't help anyone. even tho i would be very unhappy about isiah getting more years, philosophically, it's what i've asked for, giving the coach full support.

dolan said they had an open mind about him returning which i don't believe. you don't let a guy hang out for 40 days if your intention was to bring him back. lb was done no matter what he said in that meeting.

history shows that larry would beg and plead for players to be traded back and forth and then would sour on them soon after. it's in his resume. yet they apparently succombed to his wishes (their story) and traded for jalen + francis. as the president and GM of the team, you HAVE TO SAY NO. if he's upset, you deal with him, but at least you don't have those two guys on the roster.

so we'll get another day when lb talks. we'll get another day when the arbitration is ruled. and then they'll finally turn the page.

this is a clear case of the knicks AGAIN, not doing their homework. lb can be and has proven to be very successful, but he requires a support staff and patience around him. he's a prick and a primadonna but he gets the job done. but if you don't have the right people in place to deal with lb, then it's not going to work, as the 05/06 knicks are the proof.

This is nothing new. They've talked about cap space for years. Dolan can't tell the truth. It would sound awful if he said, "we're gonna continue to increase the payroll by 25% annually. We need players like Marbury to sell jerseys."

dolan and isiah are smart - they have the vehicle to get their side of the story out and used it perfectly. they used up a 30 min sportsdesk uninteruppted to tell their side.

They didn't say they would creating cap space. They said they would have been in a position to get closer to the cap but for Jalen's and Francis's contract, and they would have, if they continued to let contracts expire.

I'm still not convinced. If Isiah was so sure of his abilities to build a team, you're telling me he would have succumbed and traded for these guys. Come on, Isiah wanted to make these trades just as much as Larry.

I didn't hear it. Of course they would have sent the expiring contracts off in another trade though if they didn't do the Rose/Francis trades.

Woudn't it be some thing of beauty if the Knicks and David Stern had an agreement during during Brown's exit from Detroit to put an out clause for the Knicks should Larry Brown pull his shenanigans at MSG. Of course it's just speculation, but completely in the realm of possobilities.

It's on again from the beginning. Unedited and uncut so MSG says.

What could possibly make you like Dolan from this interview? He's the worst public speaker I've ever heard.

No holds barred my ***. With Al Trautwig, an MSG employee and sycophant asking the questions it's shaping up to be a 30 minute long MSG propaganda film.

WOW! They both look like such liars. You can just they are sneaky as soon as they start talking. I ****ING HATE DOLAN! What a douchebag. I wish I wasn't a Knick fan. I wish I didnt buy a single ticket, knick jersey, knick hat or watch a single game.
Trautwig asked Isiah what he will say to the fans at the gas station. It made me cringe the way he said "Everything will be fine". I was a huge Isiah fan but I cannot stand the bastard anymore. I think he will bring the Knicks to atleast .500 and into the playoffs. That will give Dolan his playoff money and Isiah his extension.

Incredible as it may sound, my angst at Dolan has not reached nowhere near the level as it did during the Layden days. The boiling point for me was the draft night where we traded for McDyse and didn't keep Nene after drafting him.

DO you guys think they are just making all of this up?

Everything that is being said sounds like it is totally within who we all understand Larry Brown to be.

I dont know what you guys think Isiah and Dolan are lying about.
