what does that have to do with anything mck1?

i dont understand why your ribbing the players now, why cant we just reserve judgement until the training camp sessions begin....than we'll see

curry promised that he'll bein shape and ready to go....lets just see what goes down before believing stories form someone who is 1 foot shorter than him and is 10 years older than him
''We don't have the luxury to take anybody lightly,'' New York's Quentin Richardson said. ''We're not that good.''

From the knicks board on realgm
Posted by je2340 on realgm:

I heard that Eddy Curry is in shape, he has been working out in Chicago, and plans to play in the Knicks summer league to get better chemistry with Frye, Lee, and Nate Rov.

does this make what he said believable?...no...these are people that we dont know even how credible they are

yep Bull fans continue to lie about Curry

how many times was he whistled for charges and 3 second violations again?

More importantly, who is the 5' 11" guy who is practicing ball denial in the post, outhustling people and out rebounding 7 footers....All I need to know is can he run the point???

holfresh...i believe that it is not so hard to outhustle Curry and out work him....2 things that have very little to do with height. I base this on watching Curry, and not the RealGM post.

Where did you get the impression that he was getting outrebounded? It just said it is easy to outhulstle Curry for a rebound. It does not say that the dude collected more rebounds overall.

because the direction of this franchise for the next couple years has been decided by today's events and from what is being reported the development of Ed was one of the sticking points.

Dolan back in February stated its Larry Browns job to get him from the first to the fourth quarter.

how can he or anyone do that if he's never in game shape.

the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

Now if that's not a distinction without a difference, I don't know what is. What are you saying, that it was easy to outhustle Curry for a rebound but Curry still grabbed all or nearly all the rebounds?

Why the hell are people so busy deciphering what this guy said. He's a Bulls fan who at this point has absolutely no reason to make up stories about Eddy Curry and he said he is out of shape and was easily outhustled. Whats the big deal?

I for one hope and pray Eddy starts getting serious about his NBA career because as Knicks fans we need him but I am certainly not holding my breathe.

Oh why would he make things up as a Bulls fan...I'm sure he doesn't want to make his team look smart for trading Curry...

Bonn...There is a diffeerence in outhustling a person for a rebound and having a 7 ft person grab more rebounds because that person is bigger.

Lets take the following example....

I am me...6 ft, quick and full of hustle.

You are 9ft tall with but your feet are shackled togheter by a 2 ft chain.

You can grab a ton of rebounds because of your height....however it is easy to outhustle you for a rebound because you cannot move well.

Now replace 'your feet are shackled togheter by a 2 ft chain' with 'you are lazy and unmotivated'.

Holfresh, the Bulls fans are happy as could be that Curry is gone. He is long off their radar, their too busy drooling over Tyrus Thomas now then to worry about Eddy Curry.

reread the origional post.

it is so easy to out hustle him for rebounds and deny him the ball as a help defender

Andrew don't tell me a 5 11 guy is out rebounding Curry and denying him anything on the court..Come on bro...Do you really believe that??...Are you so willing to believe anything...

Do you really want Curry putting out 100 percent in a summer pickup game in Chi town..I mean really..

[Edited by - holfresh on 06-22-2006 3:07 PM]

I agree 5'11 or even 6'5, I doubt any guy playing pick up ball under 6'8 would pose any type of trouble for curry, maybe as a speed bump, but that is about all..

Guys, I mod the knicks board over at realgm. We get thousands of post from bulls fans who have sour grapes syndrome when it comes to curry, they want this guy to fail as much as we want him to succeed. I anyone thinks that a bulls fan is unbiased when it comes to curry, needs to think again....

Sounds like Curry is getting beat for long rebounds or rebounds not going directly to him.

Any 5'11" guy (or a guy at any height) could make up a story about Curry not grabbing long rebounds just from watching 5 min of him play.

If this guy says the opposite of what he said then everyone on this board would be creaming over how much better Curry is going to come back next year and how his problems are behind him. Thats my problem with what your all saying.

If anyone tried to take the word of a 5'11" 34 yr old who may or may not have played high school basketball and may or may not have played in a pickup game at midnight in some gym in Chicago and pretend that meant Eddy Curry was playing better they should rightly be laughed at.

its pretty easy to deny anyone when you are the help defender. Its why double teaming is so successful.

TKF, I who have to say you are top three poster over there and I respect your stuff. I don't know how you or Berand King deal with the trols over day in and day out about Curry.
