I wish for once you guys would hey your own opinions instead of repeating what you read or hear some analist say.
Shot blocking is a tad overrated. It helps uf you have a really good one but aside from that the team has to have a team concept on what everyone is supposed to do. A certain amount of trust has to be met by everyone including the coach.
Now the knicks should be like the Dallas mavs? How bout the knicks be the best knicks team they can be?
Right now the knicks have a team that is prime and ready built around an awesome group of young explosive and dynamic guard play....but a coach that wants to take away the strengths of his best players to soothe his own ego.
Right now knicks have the talent to have at least beaten out the bucks for the playoffs and gotten swept by Detroit in the first round. Right now the knicks should be thinking of looking for the missing piece not missing teeth! The knicks have no clue right now. We dunno what we are supposed to do. There is no style of play.
The knicks have to be the best team they can be. Brown wants the knicks to be everything but who they are. Isiah has all the parts to build a two family but the coach used that to start building a sky scraper. Didn't he read the plan before he took the job? Now you need more supplies? That wasn't the plan!
Bro, I agree with some of what you said, but to say LB wants to take away great guard play is just not true. The last teams that LB coached were offensively dominated by guard play not to mention the Pacers (Mark Jax and Reggie)-this is going back to 1994.....and the Clippers before him had Ron Harper (20 pt scorer), Mark Jax, and a perimeter oriented Danny Manning as a forward. I would have a hard time believing that LB wants to take away from guard play when for the last 10 years he has been very dependant on it.
The Knicks talentwise on paper should compete for a conference championship with the names thet have....Marbury, Rose, Francis, Curry.....a few years ago that is like an All-star team (if you count where people thought Curry would be by now).
