Hold on when your 6'9-6'10 and you weigh 220 you look like this:


No way DLee is 220. I'm 220, if you stretch me out 6 more inches then I would look like Prince not DLee. He is closer to Walker(minus the ginormus head) who is close to 250:


So All DLee really needs is to hit the weight room so he gains power. So he really should be playing Power forward.

You're right Anji. What Lee is missing is not size, it's muscle. He needs to hit the weights and hard.

His athleticism already sets him apart from most power forwards. There's nothing wrong with being an athletic power forward, not every PF is bruiser like Oakley or AD. Rememeber Horace Grant? He was pretty skinny in his early days but he was strong and athletic. I think Lee can be like Horace Grant, maybe not as good but who knows?

Lee's official pre-draft measurements were 6'9" 229.5. Frye's were 6'10.5" and 243.6

Ginobli has had some pretty good slams but he is breaking down already. He doesn't dunk on people as much as he dunks around them, like that one he had on Shaq when he was a rookie. I would put him down as possibly the most interesting slammer in the game, white or not. Lee comes up with a surprising slam just about every game he plays, he is way over the rim.

If Lee hasn't taken it definitively as a rookie, he will take it next year.

I havent seen enough of Lee to anoint him a starter in this league but I would say his downside right now is a nice forward off the bench for 20 minutes a game at the 3/4/5. Especially in uptempo line ups. You could bring him in at the 3 for size and rebounding or at the 5 and go uptempo.

If he can get stronger great, but even if he doesnt he can be a hell of player off the bench. Versatile, tough and a frontcourt guy that can really throw it down.

Interesting points by all you guys thanks, we have a chance to BUILD this team with the young players we already have. It WILL take TIME and alot of effort(which when given the chance it is there) from this trio that Zeke has assembled it could work. We need to build around them, the Knicks have never done this. That's why we haven't won any titles since forever. Jordan grew with Pippen, Grant, Paxon and Armstong, they were built the right way. We have made a good start with Curry, Frye, Lee, Butler and Nate let us see what can develop before we trade them to become stars on opposing teams.
