I can't beleive there are still fans more focused on LB's humiliation than they are the team that they root for actually taking a step forward and deciding on a direction and plan.

Having LB stew simply means we have no idea what to do next and are hoping he takes a buyout so that the latest bad move we made doesn't hurt us as badly as the other 1000 bad moves we've made. To me this is not about LB. It is about an organization that does not understand the meaning of professionalism.

okay fishmike - if you could bring in your ideal Knicks head coach, who would it be?
how many times do I have to say coaching isnt the problem? But just for the record we ran one HOF coach out of town by trading the players he had playing at a very high level and firing his assistants. We are pretty close to running HOF coach #2 out of town a year later.

Thank god we have Herb in wings

Lenny stayed for a year after we traded KVH and Doleac. He was run out of town for the 2-18 stretch after Jamal, Allan and Nazr got injured. At that point we all thought we'd be in playoffs at 16-13, then we wake up one morning and we're 18-31 and it's been downhill ever since.

Lenny's assistants were also fired. At some point we have to figure out it ain't the coaching. At some point.

fishmike - your contention was that no one of "quality" would take the Knicks job

I simply wanted you to identify who these quailty individuals are

is that saking too much?

Jeff Van Gundy said Larry and Steph remind him of himself and francis, so we can rule him out, he traded Francis and it we'd be back where we started.

A defensive oriented Payton couldn't stand being marginalized in the triangle with Phil, so we know offensive minded Steph would hate it too. No to Phil.

Jerry Sloan has been struggling to motivate his guys all year. Here's a snippet from him: "I knew it was going to be a hard-fought thing to try to teach [young] guys. I'm sure we could probably open things up a little bit and play a different way sometimes. But I'm not sure it's a good teacher for playoff basketball." So we know he wouldn't "adjust" like we need.

Rick carlisle calls every play for his PGs and we know Steph needs freedom, so he's out. Plus he had some thirty-something starting rotations this year, so come on...

Nate McMillan sure seemed like a winner last year with his energetic uptempo system in seattle, but he coached an unmotivated cadre of losers to the worst record in the league this year, so we know he can't do it.

Mike Fratello might have been good but you know he'll never trust Isiah again.

Scott Skiles might be good, oh but he gave up on jamal and Eddy and he expects effort and defense. Nope.

Mike D'Antoni likes to run! Oh, forgot... Steph declined.

Well those are some of the elite coaches in the NBA... but they're too uncompromising... elite won't work here. We need someone more "flexible".

Damn, Herb woulda been great. Oh, but we had a 16-27 record under him? Scratch that.

Lenny had us at .500 -- pity he hated not being allowed to have the upper hand with Steph or have his own assistants, so he quit. Guess we blew that one.

Good post blue..

I guess the only solution is to let steph and Jerome james coach the team..

Steph can call the plays, and jerome james can be in charge of the teams fitness program..

Then we will have a team of happy players, guys will do what that want, eat what they want, and still get paid. Everyone will be happy, because no one will be held accountable for a got damn thing..

Just the way they wanted it...

Im sure a guy like Musselman might have been good for the job at the right price.

Lets face it, big money talks.

But to get a guy that management can push around does no good either.

Man please respond to Blueseats, he answered your question. Who cares who says it, I for once would like to know how you are going to argue against that list. What do you wat fish to do, repeat the same post over again, why?

In either case, I don't think its right to treat Brown that way. Even if you say he did a bad job, then fire him. If you care about the team, then you should care about bringing in a coach as soon as possible so he has the time to implement his system and gives you input on the draft.

What the hell is the point of having a coach you are not gonna keep around conducing draft workouts? Imean cmon, its like nobody in the organization cares about basketball anymmore, all they care about is proving that their balls are bigger. They all, including Brown need to grow the fck up. And Dolan is busy fighting some dude who made a freakin website about him?

This whole franchise if sull of dogshiat, not even peoples shiat.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

no... I made an obvious statement, and another poster added an obvious follow up. Sorry if these truths pain you so. Also while I do post fairly often I go hours and sometimes days at a time without posting. This forum isnt my personal email, and I dont read every post and every thread.

You asked a question, and it was answered. If this kind of stuff bunches your panties so try switching to boxers
