PF Charles barkley (round mound of rebound)
C shaq (well, seriously, you have to go with wilt here, but...I like both florida versions of shaq)

Sorry, it said favorite players...didn't read it...

PG Mo Cheeks
SG Kobe Bryant
SF Dr J
PF Charles Barkley
C Marcus Camby

(big Philly contingent)

suffice to say, the golden state warrior team of the spree, timmy, mullen, webber, PF fame are my favorite video game team, shaqs magic and grand momma/mourning charlotte close.

not a big chicago/Jordan or boston/larry bird fan, so they lose.

so far, that's what i got.

Interesting that a couple of you have put MJ and Magic in the back court. I wonder how well that would have played out....

KMart? Artest?

I'll just stick with Active Players, but, of course in their prime:
JKidd (in prime)
DWade
King James
Chris Webber (in prime)
Alonzo Mourning (in prime)

We gots speed, PASSING GALORE, nastiness up front, shot blocking and defence, and, needless to say, scoring at every spot. No pure shooter, but I'll take DWade or James shooting when it counts!

What's with all the Houston love?
Really? Pretty one-dimensional in my book.

easy... best jumper I've ever seen. As smooth in preseason as he is with the game on the line. Cant think of a Knick I would rather take the last of a game. Never missed free throws. Tougher than people gave him credit for (at least mentally). Not a good m2m defender but always fought through screens and got a hand in the shooter's face (ask Reggie Miller). Created space on offense because of his range. Always team first, played like a coache's son.

Always played hard no matter who was coaching him, how many wins the Knicks had or what "system" he played in.

Still not convinced... All you're telling me is that he's a great shooter. I'd look for more than than that. Not a great defender, agreed. Played hard? That's enough for you for your 5 favorite players? Don't see it.

I hate to say it, but I agree with Panos. I think that's why the marbs v. houston thread came up...I'd take derek harper over houston any day of the week. Sorry, I just would...maybe even doc rivers but definitely the jordan stopper xavier over houston.

I liked houston, but not THAT much. Heck EVEN STARKS!!!

All of these guys in their prime. Each player is my all-time favorite player at each position (of course, only guys that I were able to watch play were included).

PG- Penny Hardaway
SG- Michael Jordan
SF- LeBron James
PF- Tim Duncan
C- Patrick Ewing

PG- Isiah Thomas ( as a player he was just to skilled)
SG- Jordan (No-Brainer)
SF- Julius Erving (One of my faves of all time)
PF- Tim Duncan
C- Hakeem Olajuwon ( to me the best center ever)

you're a Knicks fan but none of your alltime favorites ever played on the Knicks... just found that pretty funny.

Because nowadays shooting is UNDERRATED and you need a shooter like him in your team.
