Thank you nixluva luva

>>10:29 AM - Isn't it a bit premature to be so tough on this team, which this year added 8 new players?

Amen

>>We add Curry now 23, Frye, 23, Lee 23, Nate 22 and Butler 21. These players all showed that they have considerable talent, but I think we have to allow them to mature and develop more chemistry together.

Thank you. May I kiss your hand?

>>We really don't know how much better these guys will be.

Nah, let's throw them under the bus. Yeah right.

Hey, Check it out nix, you display a rare combination of faith in things unseen, but with the evidence of the few bright moments the rookies provided... despite the rotational chaos, needless manipulation and derision from their head coach.

>>I think Frye and Lee can give us what we need up front.

I think if Boris Diaw can play center in an uptempo offense, Lee can play center for a Knicks offense that controls the tempo. He and Frye HAVE a wonderfully refreshing bond of best friends that can.. and should... be built upon and used to infect the rest of the roster. That is one reason I'm lobbying for Frye as Captain in 2007.

>>Curry isn't as far from being a respectable bigman as some think. This guy comes to camp in shape next year and adds 2 more rebounds per game and a few more points he's one of the top Centers in the league.

HEY, THAT'S WHAT I SAID!

Here is what fish.mike said

and I quote, "The young players are OK. Lee, Frye, Nate and Butler are nice.

That includes three frontcourt players.

"Maybe Crawford, maybe Curry."

The "maybe" on Curry makes a fourth frontcourt player we could quite possibly live with without wringing hands and gnashing teeth over.

Cool.

Now, add a certifiable smooth forward to that mix.

Now, stir in... say... oh I don't know.... er..... um... okay... stir in.... Jordan Farmer (compared favorably to a point guard who makes his teammates better... or even DARE to consider the free agent and reconditioned Jay Williams, yes.. he of the Duke pedigree.... and now use you imagination.

Visualize Farmer and Frye. and Lee. and Jackie Butler. Now add the "maybe" Jamal Crawford as a compliment to that shift...

Does that feel just a wee bit better than bitching and moaning?

Nah. follow fish.mike.

Go back to bitching and moaning

Fish is alright, he just like to youthphuck other teams' players while underrating the Knicks' youth. I watched enough of Josh Smith to get my impression and I don't feel that he will be this star player that Fish think but he has a skill set that could be useful to the Knicks.

I bitch and moan because we need change. You say life is good, buy tickets, make Dolan richer, and send them a message that they are right. The god honest truth is aside from Mo Taylor and Jerome James there is something I like about every player on our roster. What I dont like is how much we paid to get them (bad trades) and that none of them mix.

We have such obvious holes on this roster, yet our GM utterly fails to see what every fan can see.

I have said numberous times this team can turn around VERY quickly and start winning games. To do that you need some balance and we have none. Another problem is our GM has demonstrated ZERO ability to make balanced trades, sign FAs or assemble players with complimentary skills.

You want to gush over how great Lee and Frye are by all means, be my guess.

Life in Knick world is NOT good. It sucks. But good for Dolan that he's still got some happy customers out there.

One small problem Pharezone, Josh Smith is one of the few bright spots for the struggling Hawks.

If Billy Knight gave J Smith up for (insert Knicks player : Francis according to fmike) and a couple of low draft picks, he would be the subject of even more arrows than he is shielding himself from currently. Knight IS on the hot seat.

Given the upheaval in the ownership group, the 06 record, the Belkin lawsuit and the HUGE Boris Diaw MISTAKE, the Hawks don't need any suspect deals to create any more negative press.

Change Is Good

None of them mix?

Or that we don't know how players mix until they have a consistently defined set of individual roles and a clearly defined rotation?

Other than resolving the backcourt and smooth forward, what are the holes?

>>You want to gush over how great Lee and Frye are by all means, be my guess.

fish, there you go again - I SAID best friends Lee and Frye are a core for building team chemistry.

That relates to your first point about none of them "mixing"

Misterearl, this no longer a question about talent or if we have players that can help us...this is a referendum on Isiah and his players he brought here vs Larry Brown...Most people here are with Brown...I'm with the players....It no longer matters that Frye can be a home grown all star caliber player who rebounds and is offensively better than KMart..They want KMart here because Brown wants him here...They will scream about salary cap being blown out further, but Larry wanting Francis,JRose and now Kmart is not that big an issue... It doesn't matter that Fyre and Curry might be an unmanagable front court pair the next 10 years, they want to root against them and root for Brown...So let them...Most of their agruements makes no sense anyway...Who could not love the fact that we have Frye and what he brings to the team and a player and a person...Who?...Frye is better than the number one pick in last years draft right now...But that doesn't matter either...reasonable arguements don't and won't work anymore, let them pout....We see a future in Curry and Frye..Even if Curry gives you 18 and 8 and Frye does the same next year, they won't be happy...So let them wallow in their Larry Bown misery until they decide to be fans again...Don't waste your time earl...

holfresh just made that all up. I've been saying the same crap since Layden was here and since Chaney was coaching. People used to cry about Don Chaney's rotations and sub patterns. I said the same thing I'm saying now, the problem is with the players. Sprewell/Camby/LJ/Ewing/Childs/Ward becames Kurt/Spoon/Harrington/Shandon/Eisley and people are griping about rotations????

Now we have more "talent" but zero team, and the GM has repeatedly failed to be on the same page as the coaches he hired. Lenny said this point blank. Same thing then, when people griped about Lenny I pointed to the players. Now you want to make it about Brown? Please.

This notion of them quitting because Larry "demoralized" them is the biggest joke I have ever heard. Apparently Isiah has assembled the softest bunch of crybabies ever assembled.

At what point in their careers do guys like Francis, Marbury, Jalen, etc become accountable for the games they play in?

Waste of time indeed

Holfresh please, don't ever speak for me again. There isn't one part of your post in which you described the "Larry-Lovers" that actually pertains to me and I do side with Larry, so please for all of our own benefit, don't speak for us again. I really don't mean this in an ******* type way

Hey lets have the SAME argument again for the 1000th time!

holfresh has a problem reading someone else's posts how they are written w/o coloring their comments w/his own preconcieved notions of their allegiance in the ol' LB vs. Marbury debates.

seriously holfresh, it gets tiring to have our words twisted time & time again into something completely different than the actual message we were trying to convey... give it a rest already.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Holfresh, between myself and about 10 other posters, you have the same argument on a daily basis and nothing has changed. What's the point of talking about Larry Brown and Isiah Thomas/Marbury/Mills if neither of us are going to budge. If thats what your referring to then I'm sorry I disappointed you and stopped arguing with you about the same damn topic for 5 months on end.
