Remember when Dolan was enamered with the purity of Layden and wanted only high charactor guys here?

He has gone far far to the dark side and created an even bigger mess.

This team has very little integrity from the top to the bottom!

Dolan doesn't have any idea what he wants. Basically if the GM can sell his plan well enough Dolan will stick with him through thick and thin. Unfortunately he listens to the wrong people. Dolan learn to surround yourself with winners, not losers and people figuring out how to win

I think it was just a dumb statement because everyone heard it, not just the Knicks. I'm not a huge Josh Boone fan. I watched him all year and I just don't view him as that competitive of a person. He needs a situation where he can be a role player with no pressure. Block shots and then go sit on the bench. But his statement was pretty silly.

The problem with Boone is that his far and away best season in college came when he was playing next to one of the best college bigmen offensively in recent years. Thats what scares me.

I'm still at a loss for why so many want to jump on Steph so much.

well let's see... he's got a crappy attitude, he's selfish, he's arrogant, he doesn't play D, he doesn't want to conform to any team concept, he alienates teammates & bickers with coaches, he's not clutch, he shies away from taking big shots down the stretch, he never wants to accept any blame for his own shortcomings & instead deflects blame onto teammates or offensive schemes, & he's a punk...

other than that, i think he's great.

The reason why I don't attack Steph like a lot of other people do is because I remember all those years with Charlie Ward, Chris Childs and Howard Eisley, when everyone was begging for a scoring point guard like Marbs.

He annoys me in that he does slack off and sulk when things aren't going his way, which is exactly when he should be doing the opposite. But like I've said before I think he would be at his best with IT as coach as he seems so fond of him and does seem to respond to IT's challenges and criticisms of him and he was great during the 6 game win streak.

I think since Steve Nash is so popular at the moment people now seem to think that you can only win with pass first point guards- but thats not true- if you look at a lot of play off teams over the years very few have had pass first point guards- there's more than one way of constructing a successful team.

Anyways I'm glad that in recent days people seem to be cooling down a bit and are less angry, whatever their view point- we seem to have passed the point where people were so furious that they were seemingly yearning for us to do badly next year so they would be proved right.

At least we can all agree whether you're pro or anti Brown or Steph or IT, that Dolan is an idiot!

As for Boone- hmm, well I was hoping he'd be the PF/C backup shot blocking defensive enforcer we needed but now I'm thinking no way. So anyone have any ideas on who would be good instead?

This situation we are in is definitely not Marbs' fault. I will defned him to the hilt from guys that say he is the reason for our losses. That being said, he is everything that TMS says. Tough to defend him on that front.

We have won nothing with Marbs so for the moment he has led us to nothing that Charlie and Howard couldn't do. As a matter of fact both of them led us to more wins. It's not all about talent. Marbs has the talent to be an elite leadaer for us. He chooses not to be. When your best player is your biggest baby it hurts your team. Unfortunately Mabs is the way he is because he has had coach's like Isiah who have coddled him and told him how great he is his whole life. Now after a beat down from Lb if Zeke coach's he has no choice but to listen. If he steppedout of line for one minute he should be banned from the league and his contract voided. He would officially run out of excuses.

I see your point. I mean both those guys played with a soon to be HOF center and HOF power forward, who owns virtually every single Knick and Jazz record and was named as one of the 50th greatest players but other than that yeah they all played on the same level of field.
Its funny how people began to notice how fat Childs was and how glimpy Ward was after Ewing's decline. And I guess it was Ward's stellar play that got Layden to thinking about yeah "Charlie is so good for us, lets bring in Isley"

What you don't understand is that even after Ewing left people still loved Charlie. Because he left it all on the court and played his arse off.

Nobody is expecting STephon to lead us to a title or even lead us to a top level team. But we do expect him to lead us. From my point of view he could lead us to 35 wins and if he gave his all I would support him. But he doesn't. He complains, frowns, smirks and never shuts up. Now circumstances has a ton to do with his success. but at the same time fans will respect that if you stop making excuses and play. He doesn't. Instead he complains about teammates, systems, not having freedom. It's always something.

Like I said if he plays for Zeke I am more than willing to start from scratch(yet again) with the guy and give him a shot. But if Zeke can't control him than that pretty much settles it.

Pharzeone:It's obvious you like the guy. And that's fine. You don't have to apologize for that. Defend him. But as you defend him pay attention to who he really is.

Charlie Ward was always 1 of my favorite Knicks, & that's not me just saying so because i'm down on Marbury... anyone who's posted w/me from the MSG days knows i used to always praise him for how he played the game tough, & didn't back down from anybody even though he wasn't the most talented player on the court by a longshot... i like rooting for players who demonstrate that they have heart... conversely i despise players like Marbury & Tim Thomas who have all the talent in the world, but don't reach the levels they should. In Marbury's case because of his own over-inflated image of self worth, or in Tim's case just plain laziness.

Eddy Curry is beginning to reach those levels as well unless he shapes up this season... the fact that he has a moron like Stephon Marbury to learn from as a role model probably won't help him much in his development either.

I think LB did all he can to show what this team and organization is now. I am not sure if he did enough to push the changes to start but he defenetely did all he can.
I think it is good that now we have no false expectations for the next season and the things can go better becouse they can not get worth.
Sometimes it is no way to fix the stuff. You need to break it and built from scratch.
LB did the first thing. Whoever esle poised to do the second...
