It's pretty sad. But things never seem to change here. My guess is Isiah will try to save face for himself and keep LB around. Then an atmosphere will be created that will subvert LB(we won't know what's going on, but it will be. We will pretend we know what's going on because we read the papers but we won't). Then when LB responds Isiah will use this time to axe him. Thus saving his own asse for another day and another poor decision based on buzz instead of winning.

which is why the first thing isiah should've done is decide on a system then hire a coach for it instead of just grabbing uncomplimentary players. this is a big reason why i don't think he's really building a team but really just acquiring talent.

DJ: You and me are on the same page. It's all common sense. If Isiah was going to build a young, fast, undisciplined team that can win games than he needed to get a coach that could get the most out of that type of team. If you hire a guy like LB you let him do his thing. You don't force him to coach YOUR GUYS. LB is a disciplinarian and needs his type of players. So if you hire him you get him HIS GUYS. You don't approve EVERY TRADE he wants because that's ridiculous. But you do create a team that fits HIS VISION.

But Isiah made that hire to create a buzz. That is all. It was another pawn in order to create a buzz in NY to deflect attention long enough so that he could make another move and hope to get lucky when some malcontent re-invents himself. Now the fan wrath is upon LB. He is the next logical person to go and Isiah has once again bought himself another day to get lucky. Layden followed this method as well. Why? because our structure forces them to act this way. I don't blame them, but I hope the next coach will be able to finally change this culture so we can get out from under it.

We keep refusing to rebuild(on the fly or completely). All the while we keep ending up with rebuilding type records. It's so frustrating.

the thinking process is so warped. i felt so bad for chaney when he was court marshalled out. i mean, show some dignity in how you run your business. be a f'n professional. a story leaked, and the team didn't say a word and the next thing we saw was chaney with security. this past sunday, a story leaked, and the team still hasn't said a word (and it's 11 days later). fans are going crazy speculating and the media is twisting and distorting anything and everything just so they can print something. the more things change, the more they stay the same.

i see it's catching on.

Chaney deserved to be fired, who cares... Isiah could've handled his firing a little better, but other than that, the move was justified... the Knicks haven't exactly been known for "tact" in recent years anyway.

It's because of the atmosphere that has been created. It's not about getting everyone on the same page. It's all about who is at fault. Pointing fingers and undermining everyone in order to save your job. This constant firing of coach's is just a symptom of this very large issue. Not sure how we change it. We need someone in the front office that has job security I guess. Someone who has a long standing history of success that can survive a few losing seasons. But then Dolan would probably undermine that guy as well. Horrible!

nobody's disputing his firing. but it's the "tact" portion that's very indicative of the way it's been during isiah's tenure.

no doubt... the circus atmosphere starts from the very top... just look at our owner... who can respect someone who sounds like a babbling idiot everytime he speaks in public? "duh-UM!" ridiculous!

It's never about who can we add to make us a better team. It's always about who can we blame and then get rid of. Instead of building noone can seem to see that we are doing the exact opposite. Every year we are tearing it apart.

When did Herb Williams turn into a Brown guy? I thought that he was given top assistant honors by Dolan and Isiah. Dolan said it himself at Brown's intro.

Who said Williams was? Only Brown can determine who his guys are. For all we know Aguiree is his guy as well. But the possibility of negativity is there nonetheless.
