and the problem is that throughout the course of the season, none of those concerns were alleviated. so all we have for him is hope. and if it doesn't work out, we're left watching the playoffs on tv and helping chicago become an elite team in the league.
Elite? LOL. most elite teams make it out of the first round. omg, the grass is always greener I guess. I know, I know, they have all that cap room to throw at Nazr Mohammed this summer... LOL. I thought this was the no whining thread?
helping chicago BECOME...as in, in the future, as in with the cap room we gave them, and the high #1, and with paxson running the show, yeah, they have the pieces to become an elite team in the league.
in this case dude, the grass IS greener. don't tell me you wouldn't trade chicago's situation with ours...
as Briggs said in another thread today - you look at all the teams left in the playoffs and they all have superstars. Eddy has a chance to become that. No one in this draft has a better chance. the Bulls are in the playoffs, have good young players, they're in a good situation. the draft pick was gone in October. whether Larry didn't try so hard to throw away the season and we gave them the 10 pick or 9 pick or the season imploded and we gave them the 2 pick, the pick was gone in October. I'm pretty happy with the talent base this team has. I'm furious with the power struggle going on between Larry and Isiah and it needs to be resolved one way or the other before the draft. I think their power struggle led to the bullsh!t Francis and Jalen trades as well as the record this season. you can't have the kind of mixed message. you can't have a Brown camp and an Isiah camp in the lockerroom.
I have a personal distaste for Larry, but obv one of the two needs to go more than any player. The draft pick being so high is a result of that struggle, and shouldn't be pinned on Eddy. Eddy is a great piece. Honestly, there aren't too many players I'd trade Eddy for in this draft. Tyrus Thomas is impressive, but he's hardly a complete player. All these guys have flaws. If we were giving up a shot at DWade or Bron or Dwight Howard, fine, horrible, catastrophic. I know folks here like to look at the draft and I do too, but let's realize, this is not the end of the world. We have a good talent base. We need a management/coaching staff that is 100% on the same page.
