^ so you think he's basically stockin all his cards on the hope of pulling a vince carter trade?

ummmm, earth to isiah, thats a VERY risky and dumb plan.

Either that or build through the draft, right? The knicks owner doesn't mind spending money so that is the best road for this team. Still isiah has a good eye for the draft and he does have expireing deals coming up.

Aside from taking on malik, and signing Jerome James....has there really been a terrible move made by isiah?

most playoff teams build through the draft.............

IN THE LOTTERY.

All our picks are gonna be low end 1st rounders.

So basically we're screwed.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Some think that he overpayed for Crawford and Curry. 2 unprotected lottery picks.

jeez you can make an arguement about many bad moves.. no doubt about it the curry *negotiated* trade is the worst from the bulls offering him 20mm to retire to the knicks giving them 2 high lottery picks tim thomas mike sweetney 2 number 2s and handing 60mm to curry id say that alone is grounds for termination

bobs - just realized something - you didn't take into account eddy's salary. it's not part of the bottom line on hoopshype. add another $10 mil/year to the yearly totals.

Melo?? Then I guess you can count for sure that Brown isn't part of this equation.

Don't get Briggs started on this again! I fully agree with him though.

The only way the Knicks are getting Lebron, Melo, Wade, or any of those guys is by holding David Stern hostage and forcing him to change the rules of the salary cap. Other than that you guys are creating pipedreams.

kinda like how Kobe and Phil could never ever co-exist? People read way too much into this crap. Why do people keep harping on Larry Brown? Who cares? Lets talk about the roster our GM has put together and what the hell can be done to change it. Unless of course you think they are great and only need to be properly motivated.

Well tony "Mr bean" Parker was a 29th pick. I don't like tony Parker but I'm just saying.

I'm tired of being negative. The knicks will definately pick up a nice player with these picks coming up. That's not the root of our problems though. Knicks gotta dump brown. Then they have to clean up the roster.

This was a telling season. Brown never gave the knicks a chance but we saw who had balls and who was a bitch in disguise. Isiah witnesed that and he probably will end it. He said he never been accociated with a team that wasn't tough. He is definately gonna make moves. Its starts with firing brown then cleaning up the roster.

Carmelo is a guy that is reachable. If carmelo doesn't resign with Denver then he will be a knick. I believe that. I trust isiah knows he has a shot.

I guess we will see what happens. Go knicks, regardless.

I love you man but look at the player Isiah has brought in here. Crawford, Curry, Big Snacks, Mo T, Tim Thomas, Nazr, the list goes on and on. Lenny Wilkens too... he's collected nothing but soft. If anything Larry was the closest thing to tough Isiah has hired.

personally, i'd much rather target Lebron, Chris Bosh or D. Wade over Melo (if we have any chance in Hell at all of signing any 1 of them that is, which is probably about the same chance I have of winning the lottery tomorrow)

i think targetting any one player is fruitless. we need to figure out who our coach and gm are and figure out which way we're going as a franchise. i think chances are VERY high that lebron, bosh, and wade don't go anywhere. as with melo. those are the definitions of pipe dream. you're better off tanking an entire season to get a top 3 pick instead.

that's fine by me... but we all know "true Knick fans" could never support such a thing.

Actually, yea I did.

And it would be closer to 9 million, not 10.
