and Shawn Marion.
Exactly. Marion is a thousand times better than any player Lebron has. Shawn was a 20/10 2 blks player with outstanding defense (and is even better than any stat would ever suggest) even before Steve was his PG. No doubt, I'd take Marion and Diaw as my teammates over anyone Lebron has.

secondly, what happened to all those curl plays for rip? do they even run them anymore?
Chauncey hit a big shot, but he has not played very good in the last 2 games that I saw.

Their offense looks really realy bad, nothing like it has looked during the season. gotta give Cavs props for that, but Detroit
seems to have no plan on offense either.

The Cav's are built in the mode of AI/LB's finals team. One superstar, a bunch of role players and alot of defense being played. Its really impressive, by a rookie coach no less.

Agree about Eric Snow. The guy isn't done, like so many on this board thought. He is a steadying influence who plays great defense (witness Billup's series) and makes good decisions. We should have traded for him. He probably isn't a 35 minutes a night guy anymore, except in the playoffs, but he is definitely useful.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

flip is getting outcoached. if it weren't for his team having such good rebounders, they might have/should have lost this serious....i guess thats why his minnesota teams never got anywhere

Simple way to prove my statement wrong: Which player in the playoffs has a worse supporting cast?

[Edited by - Bonn1997 on 05-19-2006 11:25 PM]

Thats not the point, but Dallas as a team around dirk is not that impressive.

Detroit has not star player period. Good balance. When cleveland works the ball to the Z, and spreads it out its easy for Lebron. Great players make it look easy. My point is WHEN (not if) Lebron improves to the next level is not to apply more superhuman ability, but to make his mates a bit better. Jordan learned this and thats when he succeeded. His greatness demanded his role players step up.

I agree to some extent. MJ certaintly made his teammates better but he didn't win (or even get as far as Lebron has already gotten) until he got *better* teammates (Horace Grant and BJ Armstrong and Scottie Pippen). There's only so much you can do when your supporting cast is very limited.

The Pistons won! I thought we had unanamously settled the Flip/Larry comparison in favor of Larry when the Pistons took a 3-2 lead! What are we to do now??

Don't worry, if this improved Heat team beats the Pistons, you'll be hearing all that BS again.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I had pointed out that if somehow the pistons come around and beat the cavaliers, I still can't see Flip outcoaching pat riley... I strongly believe Riley will get the best out of Flip by beating him and his team..

I agree with you. Another thing, I think Flip should get credit if they beat the Heat and win the championship. Winning championships is hard and Flip should get his due if the Pistons win a championship. I really want to see a rematch of last years finals with both teams at full strength. That would be the best series out of the remaining teams.

I can't imagine the Pistons beating the Heat last year if Shaq and Wade hadn't BOTH been injured. Unless both get injured in this series, I don't think a competitive series loss to the Heat would reflect negatively on this year's compared to last year's Pistons.

You are right. It wont reflect negatively on the the team or the coach. It would however be hard to consider Flip in league with all the other coaches that have won championships in the past.

True, but this is only Flips second year coaching a team that had any remote chance of making it to the finals.
