Bippity, I really am beginning to think you are a mental case.

You are simply making things up as you usually do. Here is how it went:

I wrote:

Pharezone, I think you know the deal. To a bunch of these guys, LB's 23 is better than any number of victories Isiah especially or any other coach can out up, even if the win total doubled next year. They are convinced that LB represents the "long view" when everything in his vaunted "track record" says different. They neglect to see that his requests to change the team are anti-rebuilding and anti-youth. They are "win now" requests to the nth degree.

oohah

To which you replied:

Basically what it comes down to is ooh ahh has little to add to any topic accept calling someone a LB lover.

I had never called anyone a Lover of anything, and you simply neglected to answer any point in my post because you had no answer. Instead you just put words in my mouth.

Then I replied:

Basically you have no true points but only rhetoric. Basically you will change your position pretty soon. Basically you spent the first half of the season defending every specific suspect thing LB did, then when that was undefendable, you changed your point into "support the coach" and "sticking to a plan".

Keep babbling and you might make a cogent point one day, just like the proverbial monkeys who will eventually write Shakespeare...LB lover!

quote: I will not be one of the one's rooting against Isiah if he is hired. I will pray for him as hard as I did LB. I will demand that the organization not hire him if they plan on firing him. We need to give him 100% support just like I demand for Chaney and Lenny and LB. It's all the same. Until we back our coach and say that we are going to give him a chance to REBUILD in his vision we are wasting our time being part of the NBA. There is no other way. One day fans will realize this. That it's not a good thing to fire your coach's every year no matter who the name is. It's not a good thing to root against our coach's. None of this is good. I want no part of it whether the coach's name is LB, Lenny, Herb or Isiah. We are shooting ourselves in the foot by not committing and giving 100% to a coach.

Translation:
"Blah Blah blah..rhetoric on toast!"

quote: People keep searching for reasons why we aren't seeing progress and it's right in front of your face. It's not LB that would have turned us around. He is not a savior and would not have saved this franchise. No single person can. What would save this franchise is saying that we have a plan, hiring a coach that fits that plan, and then sticking with the coach to see that plan through.

Translation
"Yakkity yak, don't worry, I'll say the opposite thing next week and insist I've been saying it all along"

oohah

And that was the first time Larry Lover (Actually LB) was ever typed by me, in answer to your stupidity and putting words in my mouth. That was two days ago in response to your nonsense.

The reason you have to put words in my mouth and take personal shots at me is because you have no opinions at all. You just spew rhetoric. You ran out of actual points way back in December.

***

How's about this? When you grow a pair of balls big enough to have an actual opinion and stick with it instead of waiting to see how things go and saying: "I called it" when you actually said the exact opposite, when you start talking about specifics instead of generalisms that aren't applicable, then you can start talking about "depth of opinion".

It's guys like you who make the movie portrayal of thick-neck knuckle-headed coaches who yell catch-phrases instead of making thoughtful observations ring so true.

Do me a favor Mr Gym Teacher, go roll out some balls and step off.

Sure, except they care about us not paying them. Stop going to games and buying merchandise and they will start listening.

win totals meant nothing this year. it meant something to isiah and dolan. but it meant nothing to the health of the franchise. i remember when isiah said the organization had a virus. isiah has given it full blown aids.

if it takes a 23 win season where everything went to hell to change things, then it was well worth it. but if nothing changes, then 35, 40, 45 wins without holding the players accountable for anything means jack. if somebody else coached the team, and everybody was allowed to run roughshod and we win 40 games (which i highly doubt), and make the first round, and get eliminated, it would appease alot of people. but the culture is the same. so next season, when we get eliminated again and the players start sulking (which is what they've ALWAYS done), we're going to be right back to where we were. blaming the coach and looking for the next magic trade...when there's no such thing.

so get caught up in wins and losses now...b/c they don't mean jack at the end of the day. we went through 10+ years as legitmiate contenders. i'm not looking for the next 10+ to be first round or 2nd round teams. i'm looking at another 10+ at being an elite one and that was NEVER going to happen with the way we've been operating.

so if fcuked up **** like what went down this year inspires that change, i have no problems.

but the scary thing is that they're looking to fire the guy. which means they have no clue they have aids but are continuing to bend the fans over without any protection.

So did Brown know this because he really apologized alot for the record. Why didn't he say it was all part of the plan? I am being serious here.

I think I get it... guys that saying whoop de dooo about the Wiz losing in round one would be pretty pumped about getting there if LB coached us there. I assume thats what you meant right?

I think the Wiz are in pretty good shape. They need help up front but they have some firepower w/ Arenas/Jamison/Butler. They have some good defenders also. They need to keep JJ and upgrade the 5. Blatche has shown some good potential after getting shot (literally). They are on the fence a bit. Probably near their $$$ threshold.

For the Knicks its all about the direction of the team. I like the fact that LB played guys like QWoods, NAte, Lee and Butler for games at a time. Even though they all got plenty of DNPs we got to see what they would do with 30 minutes a game.

A year ago I posted a thread called "do nothing." Meaning, draft the BPA, let TT and Penny just come off the books go from there. I wish we did that. But hopefully we can do something similar this year. Waive Mo Taylor. Send Franics and cash to the Hawks for a 2008 first rounder with protection. Take a 2nd rounder, I dont care. Draft the 2 BPAs. Resign QWoods to the minimum and Jackie for the 2 year LLE. Give the MLE to Reggie Evans. Waive Malir Rose. He's a good guy/hard worker but we have Frye/Reggie Evans there.

Tell Brown to make it work with Marbury. Tell Marbury if it doesnt work with Brown he's getting traded to the Blazers. Go from there.

Nothing crazy, just stay young and add some role players. Get rid of some of the luggage. FYI: If the KNicks can pay $40 to fire LB they can pay half that to dump some dead weight, that actually makes basketball sense.

That is pretty much it.

I once made a post that had nothing to do with LB. It was a 20 minute shpiel about how I felt that we needed to change the roster because we had no balance and no role players.

Oooh ahh responded by calling me a "larry lover". Not a lot of depth to his input sometimes.

Liar. It never happened.

Yeah, I thought that was the game plan but it was Brown that went to management and gave the ultimatium that all this stuff must be changed immediately. If I am Dolan I would say hold there we just gave you 5 year committment why are you giving me an ultimatium in season 1. Brown fought all year, seemed unhappy. Maybe he is bi-polar. It appeared to me that Thomas was trying to work with him, apologized forbringing in JJ. I like I said before this wouldn't even be an issue, Brown was cranky right the beginning. Maybe that's why he wants to talk to Dolan about and apologize. I don't know anymore.

Most people don't get it. Isiah doesn't get it. When you are dealing with Dolan, you might be hot for a moment, but you never know what's gonna be next...

...An example:

I can understand his expectations, yes. Listen, I hate Dolan so I can bad mouth him and everything but at the end of the day, he isn't my boss. Brown took the money, alot of it. And by all his accounts still wants to take it. He has to please his boss. I don't know how many of you work and have bosses. But I can't imagine that you guys would walk around from 9 to 5 complaining about job not only to your boss but your competition, letting them know how much you can't stand the people you work with and going into his/her office at the end of the day each week telling them this is how its going be or I may or may not show up tomorrow. And when the final results of operations come in you find out how much this guy stunk up the place. Man if I was in Dolan's place... I think he handle Brown well this season to be honest.

Pharezone I find it funny how when I do the same thing with LB you call me a Larry lover. I actually agree with your comments but I find it ridiculous to call you a Dolan lover. So maybe you can see the same sides of the fence.

What's fair is if you would stop lying. You undoubtedly find it amusing to do it on an internet board, but the real peril is if you do the same with your friends, family, and the young men on your team who probably don't look up to you.
