tim and ad were included to make the $$$'s fit within the 125% rule.

Other players could have been used. Brown admitted to wanting Davis.

how dare he request a guy that IMMEDIATELY became out best defensive frontcourt player...

That's a HIGHLY subjective opinion. Let me say without bringing in the hated stats, I disagree with that statement. Regardless of that, my point is that Thomas has been trying to aplease the bi-polar coach all season. I don't think Brown understands the complexity of trades and tact. I can only imagine he just knows what he wants and who he doesn't for the moment.

People keep saying LB needs to adapt to today's game and yet he finished two straight years in the finals. Shouldn't players be adapting to him? Especially one's that have not come close to the finals.

When did the world turn upside down?

i don't think anyone is counting the hand picked backdoor acquired bakc to back 50 win piston's team as part of his Resume.

He stole that team and only one one championship.

Then he forced his way out with a big pay day.

He's discovered a new game, getting paid to leave.

before that detroit championship, he's got nothing but almosts...like almost NOT being swept in the championships, almost getting to the finals, almost almost almost.

Because he doesn't change.

once another coach figures him out, he's done.

Riley and Phil Jackson don't seem to have that problem.

big shocker rv - riley hasn't won a title in 20 years. almost...but never did. lb won it 2 years ago. so who lost it? you see, the answer is neither b/c not everybody can win a championship.

it's all about what his task was.

was his task to save the franchise or get the most out of these players - and i ask that b/c they are two different things altogether.

to turn around the franchise, he needs to instill his discipline and get his players. to get the most out of these players, when the roster is CLEARLY not built in the mode of a chamiponship type team, is not what lb does. neither does riley...or phil. he got kobe and shaq to play the triangle. he got jordan and pippen to play the triangle. that's what the coaches you mentioned do. pat riley didn't play showtime in 20 years. he's been about a center and defense.

I think LB's task in this first year was to evaluate the team, getting to the playoffs was not a priority...did he lose his patience and not make it thorugh an entire season without rebelling?

But to say he was supposed to turn us around in one year is crazy talk, did we hope for it, ofcourse.

My thing is if he is so unhappy, LEAVE. Otherwise, finish what you started, tell Dolan you don't want his money (which I think he said, but he said fire me instead, but that could be the same thing) and stick out the 5 years as you promised all of us.

But stop the effing bitching.

He's turned the entire board against the players we were all salivating over and the one player most of you hated (crawford) made him your favorite.

This team is built for 3 years from now, look at the veterans. But you can't ignore the young core.

We have a starting lineup of youth:
Crawford, Nate, Lee, Frye, Curry
Forget about qwoods and jackie B

Why this needs to be blown up is beyond me, just be patient and get as many wins as you can until we fill in the blanks...this my way or the highway stuff is for the birds.

One thing about Riley, when he is unhappy, he leaves, he doesn't force buy outs...I'm not so sure what type of character a man needs to go the route of pay me to leave.

I've never done it.

your argument only flies if the players busted ass all year long and didn't quit. but many of them did. so those players ain't worth sh t.

Who was salivating over the players? I think unreal expectations is what leads to the pure hatred of the coach. Many of us had no faith in this roster no matter who was the coach. I still don't.

Our situation is different than any other. In most cases it should be about telling the coach to shut up. In our situation the players have run the ship for so long that it's time that we took it back from them. Almost every player on this roster had a questionable work ethic before they got here. Now they are all here and still not working hard, and blatantly quitting, we are blaming the coach for this. WE are yet again empowering players who don't play hard because they have been empowered since the 8th grade. Enough is enough.

is there any doubt that if lb goes to sacramento or golden state that they're not going to move players he doesn't want there? you think bdiddy is going to remain in golden state if lb wants him gone?

those franchises will probably give brown the keys and let him work. again, it comes down to what was expected here. brown was brought here to save the franchise, not work with this roster. but isiah still needed the control and believed in this roster...or at least sold it to dolan as a good one.

this was doomed from day one.

Thomas loved Ariza, Brown didn't, he was thrown in a deal for no reason. Ariza said the trade was all Brown.

it was also reported that the deal could have included Crawford (who brown seems to like) rather than ariza and the choice was orlando's but they preferred to take the salary dump, so it's not like the deal was designed to get rid of Ariza.

Thomas threw TT in the Curry trade to get back AD, you really think that Thomas said that AD was a must. Thomas couldn't stand AD.

first off there were a few good reasons to want AD. they needed his salary to make the numbers work, yet he was expiring, so he was a financial wash with tt. he was also a good compliment to curry in the frontcourt as chicago rode that tandem to 47 wins and the playoffs the year prior. also, AD was thought my many in chi to be a mentor to curry and crucial to his development.

and when AD didn't want to report brown was sympathetic toward him while it was isiah who said "this isn't charity" and demanded he report.

I wonder how many games this team wins

Kurt Thomas/Channing Frye
Mike Sweetney/Malik Rose
Tim Thomas/David Lee/Ariza
Jamal Crawford/defensive role player
Stephon

Even if he traded on of the expiring deals for a player like KMart or did a Patterson and Ratliff swap we would have been much better off....

Instead he has to signs Jerome James locking him down with Francis, and we have an injured Q and Rose
