Lets see...Knicks lose....You guys blame the players.....
Pistons are struggling and now you remove blame from the players and put it on the coach........Sounds logical

If you watched that game last night, its was easy to see that Billups and Rasheed didn't show up....

I'm so happy that the Pistons won. I was getting so sick of the smug, nonchalant, arrogance coming from the Pistons. Like whatever, we've been here before, we know we can beat this guys, no way are they better than us. Especially Rasheed with his GuaranSheed. He's such an idiot. Hasn't he learned by now that presenting a challenge makes people work even harder to prove you wrong. Especially a great player like Lebron. He should have just let sleeping dogs lie. Well....surprise, surprise. Not saying that the Cav's will win the serious (I hope they do) but I'm sure this has put a little dent in the steel amour. On any given night, any team in the NBA is beatable. Regardless of how sub par you believe the opponent is, they are professional ball players. It can happen. Not to mention the Cav's have the best player in the leaguer (in my opinion) on their team. Lebron is such a complete player. I love the fact that he does not force the game. He let's the game come to him. If the play is not in his favor, then he passes the ball period. I read that he said, most critics were telling him that he should not do that. He should always take the short, or try to create something instead of passing off to a less skilled player. And Lebron said he would never to that. He believes in the fundamentals of basketball. If your double, tripled, there has to be at least one person open. Pass the ball for a better shot. And that's what he does. I love that guy. And, the sickness of it all is that he's only 21! Just crazy.

And one more thing, Pistons are finding out the hard way that Defense wins championships. It is very difficult to score a lot of points in the playoffs. And plus you may just be having an off night offensively. That's where defense will count the most. Hmm....I wonder if they miss LB??
NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.

The great Flip Saunders is doing the same or better than what Larry Brown did in Detroit right? Morons.

LOL, point of fact. During Larry Brown 2 years in Detroit, he has coached in 4 series that the Pistons were in elimination trouble. For whatever reason it is the semi-conference finals that has plagued this team. Same under Rick Carlisle. They earned the rep for doing things the hard way.

the Pistons went to the Finals with basically the same team minus Maurice Evans.
I was talking more about the facts that the veteran Pistons are each a year older now and their opponents are better. The toughest team they faced in the East last year was the Heat with a badly injured Wade AND Shaq.
But the more important thing is, WHO CARES? Maybe Flip did more harm than good this year. That doesn't somehow justify the job Larry did this year.

This arguemnt was bought before us a few weeks ago to justify that larry is over rated.

Detroit looked dominent. Lets see what happens.

Cavs don'et have Larry Huges.

Dice is stronger than ever.

Evens is on the bench.

They all injured in some form.

Think the Pistons did not have some injury problem in going to the finals two years running?

I thinik its because Darko is not on the team!
Rasheed's injured.

you guys make me laugh whoever thought Flip saunders was better than Brown.. I told everyone that i wasn't sold on Saunders as pistons coach..

He preaches offense offense offense! He's trying to have the pistons win games soley on offense.. This is not the same pistons team that went to the finals back to back yrs..

At least Brown stressed defense like crazy.. At least Detriot had that identity with Brown but now they've lost it..

If they beat celveland which now looks like a long shot, they won't beat Pat Riley and the heat.. I cannot see flip outcoaching Pat Riley.. NO WAY!!!

Let's not go overboard, Flip hasn't lost yet. Brown was in a similar circumstance a few years ago when they won the title. They are both good coach's and the Knicks would be lucky to be able to run either of them out of town.

Sorry pal but Flip isn't a good coach.. How many times has he gone to the NBA Finals or even the conference championship??

He couldn't get by the 1st round in his career until 2004 but got knocked out by the lakers. Why? cause he was outcoached by phil Jackson.. He had the best record back then too..

Larry got a title and appeared in 3 NBA finals. flip gets outcoached all the time and now might get beaten by Mike Brown.. WOW

The reason everyone hates LB is because of the success the Pistons had this year. Now the guys that love LB are rooting against Detroit to vindicate themselves. I personally don't care. LB doesn't need a Flip loss to validate his career. But we need a turnaround to validate our right to call ourselves an NBA franchise. I personally root for Cleveland because of Lebron. don't care about Flip.

Outside of the coaching aspect, if the Pistons do get by the Cavs, this Miami Heat team is better than the one they barely beat last year. It should be a good one.

The Cavs have a great shot at beating the Pistons. LeBron is looking like the Best/Most complete player in the game more every day. It is possible that he can have "one of those games" and there will be nothing the Pistons can do about it, similar to those excellent Cavalier teams that Jordan always shot down.

Also, I think Detroit may be a little overrated 'round these parts. They are very very good, but they are not some type of all-time squad. While taking nothing away from the amazing series they had against the Lakers, the Pistons had some good fortune in terms of the Laker's team dynamics falling apart and the injury to Karl Malone. Last year they just barely beat Miami even with Wade injured.

However, the Pistons just barely got beat by the Spurs, if R. Wallace didn't make some dumb plays they easily could have won the championship last year.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Yeah, but those guys wearing the Detroit jerseys are pretty darn good.
