yep Bulls want a big guard plus he is a Brown supporter

watch basketball suddenly become fun again for Q. Getting away from Stiph keeps having that effect

Im thinking of becoming a bulls fan. All our draft picks are going there and I can root for the players before they become Knicks.

I can't see any deal without Nate going.

This trade is comical. This team is comical.

there's no way this trade happens. I think Berman invented this rumor because he felt silly about being scooped by Vecsey and Isola on the real news.

get real here....bulls will not trade gordon for Q or nate....gordon right now has more value than those 2 together....maybe if isiah throws in a couple more unprotected draft picks and a couple of years where they can swap positions in the draft than the bulls might bite....

this would make sense. We give the Bulls another draft pick, take back their worst defender, and add him to a team already full of scorers. So we would have Marbury/Francis, Crawford, Nate and Gordon. Yup.. I can see why Isiah would make this move.

You don't think the Knicks 2 1st round picks this year is enough to get Bynum and you going to make a statement like that. Comparing Ben Gordon and Andrew Bynum in the omg what do we have to give up to get him, let me say I take the guy who don't feel sudicial in the mourning.

seriously though guys... how can any Knick fan be opposed to getting Ben Gordon for a 1st rounder, even a top 3 pick, along w/any of the G's on our roster? this has to be a joke, cuz i don't see why Chicago would be interested in any of the G's we currently have.

One of our elite guards? Are they talking about Boobury or Stevie Franchise? That means they would have to trade half their roster to make the contracts work. This ain't happening.

Not for nothing, a trade of Steve Francis and our Unprotected #1 2007 Pick for Ben Gordon, Othella Harrington, Darius Songalia and Malik Allen would work. (Songalia & Allen- were DNP specialists) They might consider this move if it meant clearing up cap room for a run at Al Harrington. Just a thought!

It would have to be for Francis or Q because they are more than happy with Hnrich running the point.

BTW, Ben Gordon is no point guard. He has a point guards body but a shooting guards game.

With that said, I done't see it happening.....

the Crawford trade and not having to pay Curry already cleared cap room for this coming free agency period

Francis would only add a max contract to their books... that doesn't help that team in the least... if anything, they'll want a big G who can play some D... someone like Jason Richardson might not be out of the question in exchange for Ben Gordon... maybe as part of a larger package... but i don't see why the Bulls would be interested in trading w/the Knicks, especially when they already own the rights to swap picks next year.

I guess you are right...

Listen, this trade happens if Ben Gordon pushes for it! Honestly, I think its very capable of happening. I'd do it... I know we'd have an abundance of guards, but the truth is Ben Gordon would actually be a GOOD one!

Isiah likely called and said how about Q or Steve for Gordon?

What if NYK elected to pay for a portion of his salary.. then the deal might make some sense for Chicago. Bottomline is, where there is smoke there is usually fire! If it's being reported, it's definitely being/been discussed. The chances of it happening... ?

id send pretty much any of our guards (id like to keep craw and im assuming chicago wouldnt want him back if they gave him to us in the first place) plus this years #20 pick to get gordon and any filler that they might need to send us if we give them francis or somebody. sure my going to uconn for all of gordons career there might be a bias but the kid can score and can be THE guy on a team, especially down the stretch. i havent seen how he plays defense for chicago, but im sure it cant be any worse than the guys we already have. and adding more young talented guys is certainly better than adding older more injury prone guys like k-mart.

He doesn't play defense, and to me, the idea of him carrying a team is ludicrous. I see him as a 2nd tier scorer, who could be a big piece of a good team.

this isn't baseball where you can foot a large portion of the player's contract... we can only give them $3 million in cash... that doesn't help their cap situation at all... i don't see any reason why the Bulls would even consider a trade w/the Knicks unfortunately, though i'd love to add Ben Gordon to this roster... he's a bigtime player who doesn't shy away during crunchtime... we need more of those.

Gordon has been described as a poor man's Wade (Wade is 6-4, Gordon is 6-3, btw) They both have the same style of game except Wade drives a little more and Gordon is a much better three point shooter.....He is also super clutch. Imagine having to guard Craw and Gordon in the clutch....damn....

now we can start agreeing again fishy....

No way do the Knicks go for Gordon untill they can make sense of the roster. Gordon is not a point guard and is not the prblem in Chicago. Chicago needs some real big men......The Knicks already gave Chicago that big man too with the draft pick....his name is LaMarcus Aldridge(But Paxson is a idiot and he probably will draft Morrisson or Gay to play with Deng and Nocioni)
