It depends, what's the plan?

if it's to continue to p/iss money to the wind and clog our bench with unmovable guys of questionable value, then sure, we could do worse than kenyon, and probably have.

but if it's to gain control over payroll (different than plunging under the cap) in an attempt to gain roster flexibility by having lots of movable and desireable value oriented guys then I'd say, no, he doesn't fit.

what's the direction here? Are we really gonna keep getting any old bodies to whine on the bench while we castigate the coach for not playing the youth enough and then fire the coach when nobody's happy? If so then yeah, lets do it.

I'm so back and forth with Martin, I've been avoiding this poll for that reason. There are times I say, yeah theres no way this team can get back to winning without taking some risks and Martin at the very least will provide defense and energy. At his best you will see defense, energy and explosiveness offensively. Now I think of the negatives. KMart has to be coddled, his game relies on athleticism which is in question now beucase of his knee and if this trade doesnt work out, it put the Knicks even further back.

With all that said I'm going to vote Yes, UNLESS, the Knicks are able to pickup both Reggie Evans and Jared Jeffries this offseason via trade and MLE. If thats not possible, I'll take the flyer on Kmart.

Was very good before but has a fragile body that is now recovering from a serious injury to a very critical part of his body.
I remember when he broke his leg in College... I felt bad for the guy.
But after our playoff encounter last year... I can't stand his attitude.
Add his brittle body to that attitude along with an obscene contract.
It's too much risk for an organization already overly burdended financially (capwise).

somehow we do this trade for kenyon and knowing how things are going for the knicks, he'll only dress up for a game or 2..

Give me Chris Webber instead. He has a shorter contract can probably be had for Jalen Rose ending contract(it worked straight up in realgm money wise. Will give you 20-10 and be the go to guy on offense to free up Curry. Will be the ONLY CONSISTANT scoring option in the post which this team needs so desperatly to free everything else up. He is also agood rebounder. Plus as we all know is an excellent passer out of the post which Curry is not. You run the same type of offense that Larry Brown wanted to run with Webber as the main option instead of Curry and it would look a lot more smoother. He played 75games last yr and we have Frye behind him so he don't have to play huge mins and Frye is also an excellent injury insurance. While he isn't the defensive presence we lack he is everything else.
