I'm open to KMart. Just not for expiring deals. If its one of the long term guys like Francis then fine. Cant really see that happening.

Also.. what's Denvers MO? If they dump him its to clear space to resign Nene right? So why do we want to help yet ANOTHER team?

that's true... obviously Francis for KMart would be ideal, but if DEN wants an expiring, i think i'd be willing to give them Mo T for KMart if they threw in a future pick... it all depends on what they're after... is getting cap space & re-signing Nene the priority, or unloading a malcontented player w/health issues?

if his contract is insured I would offer them Jerome, QRich and the Spurs pick for KMart. If they think that sucks thank them for their time and have a nice day.

I would rather just sign Reggie and cut Mo Taylor. Keep Jalen around for the all important expiring contract come trade deadline

I'm officially done with the risks. I want solid no risk, great attitude players. I'd rather have a lesser player in Evans, than another high paid "superstar"

If you sign Evans, where does that leave Butler or Woods. You have to start cultivating your own prospects and some point. If you can get Evans in a trade than fine but losing Butler would be bad. Hell, I want to see Butler and Curry on the court at the same time this coming season. I personally think, rebounding isn't an issue with this team, just post defense and shot blocking.

Butler is a C. Evans is a PF. Why Evans would hurt Butlers minutes I don't know. Curry and Butler should be gettin all them minutes at C next year.

PF is the real glut. We have Frye, and Lee, and a bunch of dog poop with Rose and Taylor. However they want Lee to play at SF, from they are sayin at least.

If you cut Rose and Taylor, and bring in Evans, you can start Evans and bring Frye of the bench for scoring, and play Lee as a backup SF.

While you are at it, cut Jalen Rose and buy out Q, and start Woods at SF. Man isnt it pathetic when you are talkin about cutting the guys that make money to make room for guys that can actually play?
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Team rebounding is not a concern on this team. You don't need a dominant rebounder if your team rebounds well. Look at the Nets. Knicks average 41.6 rebounds per game while their opponents average 38.5. That's not an issue post play and shot blocking are issues, not rebounding. Just because you like how someone on another team gets alot of rebounds doesn't mean that is a concern for your team.

I'm not to concerned with rebounding differentials. What I'm concerned with is getting lunch pail role players that can come in and play hard regardless of whether they like the coach or not. I personally feel that you get 2 or 3 guys like Evans and you will do more for this team than any superstar could ever do.

would you say there is a difference between a good rebounding team and a team that collects a lot of rebounds? The Knicks do not own the glass. They do not push people around or get bodies on guys. The offensive glass is open to anyone that wants to crash the boards against us, and except when Malik Rose or Antonio Davis were in the game you would see a plethora of put back dunks.

This is a soft, non-physical team and we need muscle and toughness up front, especially on the glass.

Get Evans, and another guy I'm still interested in is Sam Dalembert. I think he's tradable, b/c he had a couple of injuries this season and didn't live up to expectations, but I still think he has that defensive player of the year type capabilities. Plus we need his shotblocking. I'd trade anyone on the roster, including Marbury and Curry, for Dalembert.

At this point, Dalembert is needed more than you can give up someone in the frontcourt besides a JJ or Mo Taylor. Frye is still the best option to score at the 4, follow by Mo Taylor. Curry, Dalembert, Frye, Lee and Butler would really work. Dalembert does solve the rebounding issue (if you think there is one) but more so the shot blocking deficit. I am not trading Curry for Dalembert because Dalembert brings no threat offensively in the post. Curry can be dominant at times and commands double teams. You just don't chuck that away.
