I don't want to hear the argument about the players are stupid and selfish and whatever....the coach is supposed to handle that.

let's say you have a 12 year old kid that doesn't clean his room. you tell him to clean it. he doesn't. you tell him again. he doesn't. then you threaten to ground him...and then he cleans it. at 12 years old, they don't know anything BUT to listen (i.e. the rooks).

now imagine you're 65 and you're living in your kid's house. he's now 30. his room is still dirty. you tell him to clean it. he looks at you like "WTF are you talking about old man?" at 30, you've been around the block, you're not dependant on anybody and you earn money so you don't have to listen.

now, is it the 65 year old guy's responsiblity to handle it? or is it up to the 30 year old kid to clean the room?

So what are you saying? That the knicks don't need a good coach? That they should go out and play? Spare me the life stories cuz this one didn't make any sense.

Brown is the coach of a basketball team not the director of a halfway house house.

Its not that deep. Larry should have settled on a rotation out of training camp. The guy has a million and one excuses.

Again don't flip any marbury fan club bull**** on me either. 40 wins with Larry actually behind his players and doing everything that my signature says would have been a sucsess.

Now Larry has people brainwashed that winning 20 plus games is actually a good thing.

What happens now? Let's say Larry gets his team of players that he jerks off too everynight, then what? Will he all of a sudden get the players to do what's in my signature? Will he do his job then?

yes, but a good parent works with his children - he doesn't throw them under a bus and turn the keys in the ignition and show Mark Berman to the drviers seat. does he? I don't know, I don't have kids yet and I haven't coached anyone, but I would think if I wanted someone to listen to me I wouldn't belittle them to seven daily newspapers everyday and roll my eyes. is that parenting, teaching or coaching?

I think Larry has done a horrible job. he is an arrogant old coot. I think Isiah has done a horrible job, but his worst decision was hitching his wagon to Brown. still, where is Isiah right now? why hasn't he spoken to the fans? apologized? why didn't he protect himself on the Curry trade? why did he trade two picks for Mo Taylor? answer - he sucks just as much as Larry.

I feel bad for the players. none of them are this bad. (except Mo Taylor and Jerome James - they suck.)

That's a piss poor philosophy and the reason why most americans get stuck in middle management there entire careeers. If someone is trying to help you better yourself you are never to old to listen.
