Francis & a pick for Odom... we don't want or need Kwame now that we have Curry & Frye.

why does everyone keep acting like the Lakers need a shoot-first guard? they already have the best shoot-first guard in the world. it really makes no sense for them to try to acquire an all-star scorer in the backcourt.

i didn't say they needed him, but that's the only realistic trade i can think of w/the Lakers, which says pretty much all you need to know about our chances of landing any type of deal w/them... Chris Mihm? why do we even bother making a trade for him when we have Channing Frye & Jackie Butler, who i believe are both going to be better players than him next season... nevermind about Kwame Brown... he's a bust & we don't need him.

I would do Lee, Francis and Denvers pick for Odom in a heart beat.....Lakers would never do that Lamar is an amazing compliment....

Then I would trade Jamal and a pick for a second rounder..... we need to get rid of the trash.....

Jamal & a pick for a 2nd rounder? what kind of trade proposal is that? Jamal's been the best player on this team for the past few months... if anyone's a keeper other than Channing Frye, he is... why would you just toss him away along w/a pick just for a 2nd rounder?

He had 7 turnovers last night he averages over 3 (3.7 for the month against 5.1 ass which is terrible) (3.7ass vs. 3.2tos for the season), shots it at 41% a career high and can't guard a phone booth, just because he has had a good month doesn't mean anything....his value isn't going to be higher than it is now so move him, you don't win championships with players like that

Nate is going to be a better player than Jamal is a better shooter, can play better defense and is a better rebounder

Why are we talking about championships? We are a long way from a championship. Any body on this roster is expendable, noone had a good year this year(not even the coach or the GM) but it could just backfire to trade the guys that are buying in for unknowns at this point. If a great deal for Craw comes up trade him but if not, we need to worry about improving the attitudes here before we think about bringing in players that can win titles. Otherwise we are just going to drag down and infect the next guy that gets brought in, just like we've done with everyone else.

a 2nd round pick won't amount to jack squat... there's no reason to throw away young talent like Jamal, much less include a pick in the process just to get a meaningless 2nd rounder... & Nate is a better shooter than Jamal? what games are you watching? Jamal's 1 of the only perimeter scoring threats this team has other than Marbury (when he's not sulking on the bench w/the towel on his head)... Nate's perimeter shot is highly erratic... he's best when he's getting points in the fastbreak & off turnovers that he creates w/his hustle.

Nate's a good open shooter from long range, and he's clutch, but like you said, he's still erratic. Jamal always was a pretty good shooter, he just didn't know WHERE to shoot in years past. His FG% is up this year, and in the past month, it's been up to like 47% which is very very good. His defense has been much improved and more aggresive. Nate is improving before our eyes too, as is Lee (Even though he doesn't put a hand up on open 3 pt shooters and leaves them open, which pissases me off) and Jackie is getting there too. Those 3 guys need to be worked with, for the future. Meaning, they are staying. So is Frye. Curry can go if the team wants to let him go.

Shouldn't we be more worried about getting rid of the guys that are destroying us then the guys that are playing hard? A title ain't coming soon so why are we trying to build a title contender? That's the type of stuff that got us into this mess in the first place.

We need to relax. Be patient. Realize that we must start from scratch. And when I say scratch, I mean scratch. First change the culture, thus making this place more attractive to players, coach's, GM's. Set us up as a force in trades instead of a laughingstock where noone wants to deal with us unless they are fleecing us. Then bring in a leader(on the court) that will help hold everyone together and make this place a destination where players want to be. Then worry about how many games we are winning. everything else is a shortcut.

Allanfan: Everyone you mentioned needs to be on the roster next year. I wouldn't trade any of them, unless a KG or Jermaine is coming(which they are not). Otherwise it's just trading unknowns for unknowns and keeping the garbage in order to drag the unknowns down into the abyss.

agreed... Jamal, Nate, Lee, Channing, Jackie, both Q's & Malik should be on the roster next year... they're at least giving a full effort when they're on the court... unload lazy overpaid spoiled primadonna's like Marbury, Francis, Jalen, JJ & Mo T... Curry is on the bubble, but if he doesn't get his act together next year, he needs to go too... we can't build a championship contender until we first fix the general mindset of the players on this team... Bip is 100% right in that regard.
