Jackie Smooth is fun to watch. DLee and Nate are going to be players in this league for a long time. I wish Frye was out there with them instead of Mo the Black Hole. Hope Craw didn't sit out the end of the game due to injury. Udoka looks decent. Gus' comparison to Raja Bell seems a little early, but doesn't seem ridiculous. They hung tough in the second half despite getting very little respect from the officials.

Knicks kept their heads up in the end. The beginning was painful though. We just couldn't keep up with their starters. We never quit though, and brought it down to 8, and you have to give credit to the Knicks and Herb for that.

Allanfan20 - well said

I can live with Jackie Butler, Lee and Frye up front.

With The Starbucks Backcourt - Crawford and Nate

Udoka can get Malik Rose's minutes

oh yeah, can I get your autograph?

yeah, I don't give Herb too much credit. he had a short hook which was good, but he is infatuated with Mo T for some reason.

Knicks did hang with the Pistons starters in the third quarter though.

Jackie incrased his FA value on national TV.

I liked how Jackie, Nate, Lee, and Jamal played. That group is not good enough to keep it remotely close with the Piston's starters, but I liked how they kept their heads up high and played hard.

My man, I was listening to the first half on the radio while I was driving my grandma home. The Knicks started doing better b/c I got to a tv.

it's just another example of why this team should've just decided to go full rebuild from the get go. the one thing nobody can complain about is isiah's ability to draft and finding guys on the waiver wire. imagine we just had the 2004 draft pick (which would've been around #8-10), followed by our picks in 05 and another one coming up this year? we would've been much better off as a franchise.

we're pretty much shoulder high in sh t but there's still a chance to right the past wrongs. dump steph + francis for a young player or pick and expirings and let jalen + mo walk to the sunset. this would leave us under the cap in '07 with a roster full of younger players.

agreed about the draft. now, put down that crack pipe for a second - we're never getting under the cap. I don't care if it's possible. it's never happening.

Too bad isiah is so insecure.

The team he rebuilt with is actually a good base.

But he starphuched this salary into historic levels. His big money guys suck.

Had he believied in Jackie Blue, he wouldn't have to had gotten James.

Marbury, Francis, Jailen, Mo T, all wasteful pieces of garbage.

We could have rebuilt, This team at seasons end proved it.

Didn't watch game. But Sopranos was cool!

I'm starting to seriously consider the notion that Isiah might actually accept the idea of putting the Knicks under the cap. I think the fans who are reputedly so "impatient" have to face the evidence that has piled against the theory that the Knicks HAVE to operate well above the salary ca. Being that this year was so atrocious and followed a series of poor seasons trying to use this approach one wonders if more people are considering facing "reality".

There are of course those who see light at the end of the tunnel, with utilizing the "above the cap" approach, but their numbers must be diminishing.

One thing that is clear is that even though Jamal has played great this month, he is NO point guard. We need a true PG with Jamal possibly as the starting SG. Even this month his assist/TO ratio is awful. He had close to a double double last night (18 pts, 7 TOs). I do give him A LOT of credit for improving his game, though. It's the only reason I want him back next year.

yea, I agree, IT's big purchases sucked. I remember in preseason when Butler and frye played well VS Duncan, to me that should of been a sign that butler could play in this league as well as frye. getting James was idiotic and not protecting picks in the curry deal was just ****y on IT's part.... Nate, jamal, lee and butler can ball, we know that, throw in frye next year and Q woods and you have a good core of players. I just don't see how IT is going to correct this mess with the veterans he created.
