but is marbury in the last year of his contract? He's owed like 45 mill, can that be simply bought out?

Think Al Jefferson, Toine and JWill for Marbs, Franchise, Nate, JJ and Lee.

i want to know since i do not get the knick games, who are the players laughing and yucking it up when the knicks lose? i want names.

last 2 names mentioned by reporters were Curry and Taylor during Q and Rose's post game tirade a few nights ago.

this is going to sound nuts but do you think there's ANY possibility of this happening:

steph/francis + nate for maggette + livingston?

i know they're super high on livingston but man, they are built to win within the next 3 years...and they're under the cap so the $$$'s don't have to match. i'd be willing to give up both our picks as well to get this done.

francis/steph for jwill + toine is a possibility b/c miami would do it.

they may do Steph and Nate for Maggette and Mobley and go with Shaun and Marbury at guards.

this whole wasted year was nothing but one big screening process that i reported some week ago

and they let larry winning record off the hook this year

look at the Bulls... they are less concerned about the playoffs and more concerned about the culture and CLEARLY defining exactly whats expected of players. Dumping Tim Thomas and sitting Sweetney probably hurt them in the short term, and possibly cost them the playoffs. In the long term? I agree 100% and the guys that play for their organization and coach understand anything less than a max effort is unacceptable regardless of what you make or who you are.
I thought Mike was one of your favorites! To me, he's a lazy fat ass just like Curry and Jerome James except shorter.

what about lee and nate?

gonna have to give something up to move the big contracts.

well blue seats if that is the case then I call it BS.... to me IT mitigates his good draft with horrible moves because he now has to use his best moves in order to correct his worse ones....

He is owed 60.2 mil after this season...over 76 mil including this season....

Who wants to choke on that....

It's amazing that in New York you can make a statement like that after 70 games in the season and still keep your job......And also have everyone cool with it....

I think we can add Jalen to next season's 9 man rotation:

http://www.newsday.com/sports/basketball/knicks/ny-spknotes144701983apr14,0,349690.story?coll=ny-knicks-print

Francis said he's had no discussion with Brown about his comments regarding playing time. Asked when he developed the back injury, Francis said, "I've had it for a while. I'm going to take it day by day. I'm not going to rush to get back." When Brown announced Rose's return to the lineup, his disdain for Francis was obvious. "Because we don't have one of our other guards," Brown said, "[Rose] is going to dress."

http://msn.foxsports.com/fantasy/story/5502094

Jalen Rose (plantar fasciitis) returned to practice on Wednesday and really wants to return to game action. Rose, who has been bothered by tendinitis, said he would practice the rest of the season even if he couldn't play. You have to give him some credit for the positive attitude, as he could easily just choose to shut it down.

http://www.nypost.com/sports/knicks/66954.htm

Brown appears to be a fan of JRose (Franchise is out), next season's top 9:

But it's sounding like he's going with:
Crawford, QRich, ?? (see below)
JRose, MRose
Frye, Curry, jackieB, ?? (see below)

on the bubble:
N8 (skill and passion)
Finally being played at the 2. Height limits defense, but he's all heart.

DLee (gotta love his passion), QWoods (cheap raw talent)

Lee and Woods are keepers IMHO, but if they can net us what we need and help move another malcontent, then I'd have to let it happen. Both bring something to the table.

Gone (IMHO):
MoT, Franchise, Udoka

Still open questions:
JJ - vows to come back in shape next season, looks to be buying in a little more
Starbury - Depends really on his "press conference", Brown has stated he won't be a point guard, but that doesn't mean he won't be back. Marbs at the 2 is most likely the move that makes everyone happy.

Marbs, Crawford and QRich are a pretty nice 3 guard rotation.

I think the attitude Rose has is very encouraging.

That what happens when you're a legendary coach with a track record.. Whatever he's does, won't take only a season for a turnaround..
