>>Earl... this is why I have been crying about the overpaid (its not your money) DOGS that Isiah has assembled.

An unauthorized sampling of the fairly-compensated (AKC approved) purebreeds that Isiah has assembled

Frye - Doberman, loyal

Lee - labrador retriever chasing down loose rebounds

Qyntel - german shepard, guarding the opponents small forward

Nate - bulldog, what else?

Jackie Butler - saint bernard, dependable and trustworthy

Jamal Crawford - greyhound

Eddy Curry - Rhodesian ridgeback, don't get him ruffled

that's seven "dogs" who I can live with, regardless of pay stub
Earl... been through this 1000 times. Nobody has a problem with the young guys on the roster. Its the overpaid crappy ones. Can you honestly tell me that the presence of these guys this year hasnt affected the culture and the coache's ability to get his message across? They may be malcontents but they are also the most talented players in some regards. What message is sent to the young guys when the players making the most money quit on the coach and dont play/practice hard?

Cmon.. drop the tunnel vision. If we are going to turn this around we have to look at every angle, not just the ones that suit you.

I'm a long way from being a true JC believer, but he's shown me enough over the last 5 games to admit I'm glad Isiah didn't do the Earl Watson or Tonny Battie trades I (and many others) wanted him to do.

I watch the Sonics almost everytime they play.

knows when to shoot and when not to and he scores from outside and in the lane, gets assists, gets defensive rebounds, gets people and the ball where their suppose to be, defends.

is he a starter? no. he is aguy you can bring off the bench for 25 minutes a night and expect results from sorta like Frankie was post-Chaney.

I like Banks but I'm not sold on him being a starter for a play-off team.

To call Jamal Crawford "Mr. Clutch" is like spitting in Jerry West's face.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Eric Snow, Haywood Workman, Charlie Ward, Avery Johnson... ok being fair those guys were parts of teams where they were role players at best. I think Banks is a top 3 defender at the PG spot, maybe even the best. Your right in that he's a erratic but I'm banking on LB helping him w/ the turnovers.

Besides, Bernard King was clutch.

Jamal Crawford is clutch.

Does anyone have ANY doubt we are simply better off without the fat spoiled or malcontent uber rich crybabies like Marbury, Mo Taylor, Jerome James and Jalen Rose?

The role of the lazy veterans was to absorb the heat from the fans and the media while the kids gained experience during the season with cameo minutes.

You're a pretty funny guy.

Jerry West, Bernard King, and...Jamal Crawford? You make my point for me. You have to be a good player before you can be considered clutch. Those guys were great. Clutch is not just making a couple of game winners in meaningless games, clutch is making plays when all odds are against you and it means something, clutch is the guy who makes it happen at the end of the game when nobody else is performing in games that mean something. Bernard King made an otherwise terrible team into a playoff team to be reckoned with. Then he made the clutch plays. Jerry West was Mr. Clutch for making game winners in big games. Dennis Johnson, that's clutch. Off the top of my head there are twenty guys in the NBA I would rather have taking a game winner besides Crawford, especially because they might give you a good game more than 20% of the time.

Otherwise, let's just keep JC for the end of games. He certainly has a knack for getting a tough shot off. Sometimes they even go in.

Basketball Jones - it's entertainment.

Life is way too crazy to take what should be a diversion (Knicks hoops) so serious that one is ready to spit nails.

Besides, it's a perfect 72 and sunny where I am... besides, we still have Jackie Butler, David Lee and Channing Frye to cheer for. All three are good guys.

I like good guys. Speaking of good guys -

Four in a row. Just for my boy djsunyc.

West.

Loved freakin' Hondo.

But West was the ultimate clutch player.

You agree? Disagree?
