dj is a divider not a uniter.

we noticed every word of praise you just spoke for jamal had NOTHING to do with his abilities as a basketkball player.

i'm glad we're going to have a troop of boy scouts to continue leading us to 20 win seasons.

maybe we'll be so cute anad cuddly that scott layden will be willing to come back to be represented by us.

(ok, you don't even have to bother to say it - i'll go take a midol now).

Very well put Marv. Screw the Midol, get something with a little more kick in your system--it's almost noon.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

talent acquisition takes place after a system is installed. lb is installed. now get the talent to surround it. jamal is on board so he will stay for the time being. talent don't mean jack when you're a scowlbury, or t-schmuck (orl), or wincesanity (tor). hit the bricks suckas!!!

oh, and david duke for president.

for those that don't see the change in jamal's game over the course of the season, they just aren't looking or refuse to look.

nobody is saying the kid is an all star, but his game has transformed and ACCEPTED the change, he listens to the coach, shows appreciation to the gm for bringing him here, everybody on the team loves him, he's humble AND he's well spoken...slowly forming into a leader and is a team player - things that are foreign to lottobury. it's not a coinicidence that those that don't like jamal are very staunch supporters of steph.

the word consistency is used alot...which is fine b/c he really hasn't been his entire career. but we see him sort of settling into a role now and is pretty much running the team the past week. running a VERY young team to boot. you could see the plan that lb had all along. bring him off the bench, groom his as the point, and make him the kiddie core's leader. and it's working.

get used to it people, #11 will be here next year, #3 will not...unless q1 takes HIS number back.

You can't be more wrong....I have always loved Jamal and what he brings to the game....I give larry lots of credit for bring his game under control...Next to Steph, jamal is my favorite Knick...

One thing DJ, why does it have to be that way...Why can't we be happy with success?...When Frye was off to an early start, the Lee came on later....There were post about Lee vs. Frye...Not it's Steph vs. Jamal...Curry vs. Butler...They are all on the same team and we will need everyone to turn this around....Jamal's skill set is different from Steph... Come on dude...

i never made it to be steph vs. jamal. you weren't around here early in the year but i was a big advocate of dumping steph back in november b/c i felt like investing the time in him would be fruitless. i had no clue if jamal could run the point but i figure we may as well try it with him so he can grow with the team and we can have a guy around here for a long time. when steph first got here, i was happy. i thought this would be his redemption song. but it wasn't. jamal, to me, is still a 6th man and we still need a true starting point guard...but he is making a nice little campaign for the job. steph, regardless if jamal was here or not, needs to be out of here asap. he is the air of negativity that surrounded the team this season.

as a "steph-lover," i agree. it simply ain't working and there's no good reason to believe it's going to.

bye-bye time.

I hope you guys are not setting yourselves up for a disappointment...The reason I say this is I not sure Dolan would be willing to run a full season without a big name on this roster...If Steph goes, I think the star appeal might have to be replaced...Fact is, the Knicks do make lots of cash from filling the garden seats...Now Larry may want to put his faces on this team, but will these faces attract people to the Garden...As much as I have come to the realization that Marbs and Larry can't co-exist, Marbs does have the top three Jersey selling in the game...When he is gone, the Knicks might want a big name in return...Not sure what Marbs means to the gates, but I'm sure there is some draw....It should be an interesting offseason.....

Francis may not be the name that Marbury is in New York, but he has as much or more starpower around the league. I think most of us wanted Marbury to succeed in New York, but bottom line he hasn't and he's killing the team and acting selfishly. This season has come down to Brown vs. Marbury and Brown is going to win.

kiki's got good momentum with a squad that he rebuilt and with a coach he put in place to deliver on his agenda. why would he leave for this dante's inferno of an assignment?

easy money. Kiki won't be back in Denver, I wouldn't mind signing him up over here, but something tells me Brown and Thomas will both be here next season.

When you're in love, you see what you wanna see.

You were making these same kinds of remarks about JC after 5 preseason games, and DONT MAKE ME GO FIND THEM BECAUSE I WILL!!!!!

I'm glad that we have won 2 more games, and I'm also glad that we were able to actually win a few without Steph, this team has enough talent to do that. BUT, I can't take you or many of these other guys seriously with this talk about JC. Marv hit it on the head, JC is adorable, he's articulate, hes a likeable kid, but what is this a f.ucking beauty pagent?

I can't erase 60 or so games from my memeory so easily, obviously you guys can. And oh yeah, I know that Steph is the reason why the economy is struglling and Bin Laden is still on the loose, but how do excuses get made for this guy who shows up at the end ofthe season when everything is over? You guys are so out of touch with reality its amazing. Steph here next year or not, its whatever, gimme that stupid ass addition by subtraction argument that I hear so often. Cliche' me to death. Leader, pouting, etc., 'right way' I'm just waiting to hear how JC has turned into a defensive stopper and then I am going to f.ucking die.

Say what you want, Steph is the best and most consistant player on this roster this year, by a mile. His injury killed all of our momentum and Craw did not step up in his absence, at a point when our season could have been salvaged. Steph has not been the same since. Perhaps you all have conviniently forgotten that, but I have not. Crawford has been worse than the stock market and shining in 2- 3 meaningless games at the end of the season do not weigh very heavily in my book although I am glad that we got some wins. I like Jamal, but I don't believe in fool's gold, and I certainly don't take seriously anything thats coming out of LB's mouth about him or anyone else. Nate does a million bone-headed things and LB disses him in the paper, and all I hear is conjecture about how much LB deep down inside really loves the kid. I was clear about Nate from DAY 1 and got attacked for stating what we should all know is apparent at this point. Some people here were penciling him in as the starting PG.

For all you guys asking me whether its Steph or the Knicks for me, look at the date I joined this site. Years before Steph arrived. I love Patrick Ewing like a f.ucking Uncle and would hug him like a little kid if I ever saw him in the street! Does that answer your got damned question!?!?

Alright? I question what is obvious and now my loyalty to the org. is questioned. Why because I don't buy into this "Steph is the devil/JC is the new MJ" orthodoxy? What world do you guys live in?

this is what i said: the word consistency is used alot...which is fine b/c he really hasn't been his entire career.

i was higher on crawford at the beginning of the season than i am now. and i said he's still inconsistent. he needs to do it for a whole season before he can be labelled consistent. i don't even think he's a starting pg. i think he's a 6th man. he's still a pansy in my eyes and a delicate flower. so i'm not advocating him as the best player on the team, i didn't even say he was better than steph. i just said that he's buying in and you see growth. you're right tho, it is garbage time and he did it last year in garbage time as well...but his game is different.

steph is just not the right guy here. he can't lead. he's not good around young players. he needs an elite big man and stand still jumpshooters to win. and he needs to run pick & roll all day. that's not what's going on here. in fact, isiah pretty much removed all those type of players from the team during steph's tenure. i don't understand it.

as for fool's gold - steph's entire career has been fool's gold.
