It's scary how badly people want to blame LB for everything. God forbid he ask a rookie to act like a professional.

Shame on LB for telling Nate that it reflects badly on him to act like a showboat when you're getting your ass kicked, again, and the guy you're guarding scored 47 effortless points.

I agree with you Isles. Robinson needs to learn to cool down, and it doesn't seem like he took offense. What it seemed like is that he'll try to do what Larry asks him to do, but it's gonna be hard for him, b/c it's stuff he's been doing his whole life. Hence, it's actually great that Larry is asking of this NOW, b/c the later we wait, the harder it will become on Nate.

i like nate alot. i think he has some real intangibles. he can create space at will and get to the basket at will. he needs to learn a pull up to be unstoppable. so he has the tools. he just needs a coach to teach him how to play. if you look at nate's stats this year and compare them to jamal's his rookie year, they are very similar. and jamal was a lottery pick. so nate requires patience. i have no idea whether or not the patience will come in ny or not since he's one of the few real pieces with decent to good trade value that we have.

What's scarier is how badly people want to trash the few players left on this team who are still willing to put forth the kind of effort that fans appreciate, win or lose. That includes our so-called coach.

Do what you've beeen doing, Nate. You've been one of the few bright spots and sources for positive press this team has had all year. To hell with what corny folks nitpick about, including LB. Make the most out of a losing season and keep playing with you heart on your sleeve. The real fans will give you a standing O regardless. Do your thing, Nate.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

There is noting wrong with putting forth the effort and being positive.

Its like when in football a guy is down 20 points and sacks the QB and starts jumping around and strutting his stuff. ITs cool to vocalize in a huddle, cool to lead by example, but being proud as a peacock when getting blown out and your not even humbled by your man tourching you for 47 just is not cool.

Too much is made of Larrys comments.

Remember, all coaches discuss their team in the media. There ain't a whole lot of wins, so how much positive things can one say.

I'll trade my right to post to see 1 guy excluding the 2 who were traded from legit contenders kick the ****ing scorers table when they look at the scoreboard and see they have given up 30+ points to a team in a quarter and are down 29 at the half.

But prolly won't happen as long as fans cheer on the cool **** the players do while being stampeded.

It's not cute to be ****y, when you on the other end of the losing stick. Try winning more than 19 games before you start popping your jersey like you're in the playoffs Nate.

How do you screw something up that's already ****ed for years to come thanks to Isiah?

I hope Nate keeps on celebrating. Guys like that give themselves and their teammates a boost. This is yet another case of something that definietly didn't need to aired out to the press courtesy of LB. I understand if he felt it wasn't warranted, but this could have easily been addressed player to coach. LB is a chump. Up untill this point I was wanting LB to stay aboard and turn this around. I don't think he deserves the chance. Fire LB.

By trading young, cheap talented (albeit undisciplined) players, for older role players.

Nate is the guy being quoted. Nate is "airing" what has been said to him behind close doors. It was addressd player to coach. Nate needed something to explain why he went from 34 to 12 points against Philly.

I can't play without my scowl is what he came up with. He is sounding like a mini-Steph.

"I was just trying to point out to him, you get a standing ovation and pump your chest and Allen's got 25,000 points and he acted like (it was) no big deal," Brown told him.

To which Robinson replied: "I told him, of course not now. Probably when he (Iverson) was young he was doing the exact same thing."

The Daily news article makes it seem like he told them as it was stated as a quote. I agree, it's silly to celebrate when you're getting torched, but if it fuels him, i does and I don't see how it's detrimental to the team. If LB doesn't want it, fine, no biggie, but does everything have to run through the press?
