I like White as well. Would love if he could somehow bulk up.

Here's some under the radar guys. What ya'll think?

Note: All are pretty good defensive guys

Eric Williams (Wake) 6-9
Aaron Gray (Pitt) 7-footer
Sean Williams (BC) 6-10
Leon Powe (Cal)6-8
Pops (GW) 6-9

And my sleeper:
Tony Skinn (George Mason) 6-1 PG (ball hawk)

Pops is nice... i dont see him on the nbadraft.net board though in either round. what's with that?!

James White would be a good pick up with San-Ans pick at the end of the first round.

White never lived up to his precieved billing, but has found other ways to be effective. He has all the tools (foot speed, long arms, length,) to be a tremendous wing defender. He also handles the ball very well for his size, understands the game, is a good passer and is still arguably the best athlete in the entire draft.

Before you guys call him overrated, picking him at the end of the first round isn't much of a gamble.
He was at UF, then injured, Transfered to cincy.. i dont know - he's been cooled off on.

The best case scenario is we pair the picks and use a player and cash to move up to 10-13 and hopefully swipe that lottery pick from Minnesota for Marbury.

If that scanerio happens, like walking out with Noah and Roy, that would be just about as good an offseason as we could have pertaining to the draft.

Im also intersted in Marcus Williams Obryant Al Horford S Williams in that 7-13 area

I think the top 5 are set in stone

Thomas
aldridge
Gay
Morrison
and that Italian kid

if we could pair the picks with cash and move up into a 10 spot? and trade Marbruy for pick 7-8 we would have a nice pool to work with.

The pool down at 23-29 is very speculative and impossible to judge until we know who exactly is coming out.

I would probably favor taking Obryant if he is avaialable and IF we can actually get up to 7-8-9 etc..

These aren't under the radar... as no one has mentioned someone that hasn't been mentioned... these threads try to generate
discussion about players people have seen that haven't been on reports. Maybe that haven't been mentioned in mocks.. that might fit our team.. instead.. we have people mention ten players, who are all well known... so they can puff up their chest later. Boring.

actually there are no under the radar players now

With all the underclassmen who have had great individual tournament runs to increase thier stock (O'Bryant, Thomas, Noah, etc)it has pushed a few other talented players down a few pegs. Most notably, Richard Roby.

People had him going as high as 14, but with Roy, Marcus Williams and others moving past Roby, maybe he falls to us at 21. He is a quentisential 2 guard, in the molds of Houston but possibly more athletic.

This is probably our most realistic scenario because its unlikely we have the resources to move up into the lottery.

I was thinking we might get Roby with Denvers Pick. www.nbadraft.net shows the same thing. What do people think of Hassan Adams with San Antone's pick? I'm not a fan of a 6-4 SF.
Wow; nbadraftnet has Hilton Armstrong going @ #17 and Josh Boone at #25! I thought they'd both go well before then.

Both having a sub-par tournament maybe helped the Knicks. Hopefully they'll slip and we have a shot at either one although I like Armstrong a lot better than Boone.
Hey has anyone seen this kid Justin Williams from Wyoming play? Looks like a bigtime shotblocker/rebounder that could help us, especially if Armstrong is gone by the time we pick. Looks like a guy that could come in and do some dirty work underneath for us. What's the word on this kid?

They Wyoming kid could be a Ratliff clone, but he doesn't have an NBA body right now. Very light.

JP Batista doesn't get a lot of love, but he was a rock for Gonzaga, and his game reminds me of Boozer somewhat.

Noah will be top five. He's a 7ft. with IQ. He and Roy are my two favorite players in this draft. If we could get either I'd be thrilled. Aldridge is one dimensional.. Hilton Armstrong and he are comparable in talent. Armstrong will rise and be a late lottery selection. Those are the three we should be looking at.. but I doubt we have the ammunition to get up there to select them. Which sucks.
