I really don't buy the theory that Brown is purposely trying to lose. I'm generalizing here, but I think he is trying to use techniques that have worked with more mature players in the past but don't work with this generation of players.

as larry would say, "just look at my record"

larry lame may be using the same technique as his record indicated for his first year in philly

whatever the excuse may be larry's salary is in line with gets paid more to produce less

.......and zeke had the nerve to change coaches
"Like they always say, New York is the Mecca of basketball,"I read that in Michael Jordan books my whole life and I played here in the Big East tournament, so it's always fun to play in the Mecca of basketball."---Rip Hamilton

Any coach that comes here has two choices. Break the players that want to be here and get rid of those that don't. Or stick with the status quo and coach us to 40 wins and a first round knockout. Firing the coach does nothing. You do not need the league's best coach or an all time coach to win a title. What you need is an organization and an attitude all focused on one thing, the championship.

What we have is an organization(supported by the media) dedicated to saving jobs and finding scapegoats. Who cares if LB is over-rated. I'll tell you who. The people that thought he would come here and turn us into Phoenix West. I don't care if he's the greatest of all time or the 10th best in the league today. He has proven that he is a winner. What we need is to build a roster that supports his vision and stop all the scapegoating. It's maddening really. When will we fans have enough of the same tired formula? After a while you have to progress to solid foods.

Those are all beautiful generalizations but they don't explain why Larry gives DNP-CDs to players who play hard and gives more minutes to those there just to collect a paycheck.

When you lose games by 25 and turn the ball over 75 times who is earning consistent minutes? I guess David Lee and Channing and Qyntel and Nate. Why? because we like watching them. No other reason.

This has been an audition since the day LB put Jamal in charge of the rookies in the first pre-season game(I guarantee Allanfan will remember me making this statement). The intention was to see who could help us turn this thing around while hopefully turning it around in the process. Unfortunately noone got the message. Instead we have guys winning 32 games, 17 games demanding minutes.

I said from day one that games would be played. I said we would see crazy shiot. I compared it to some of my coaching messes before the season even began. And once again after it turns out exaclty as I said it would, once again I guess i"m wrong.

With the culture we have you can do two things. Give into it and continue the path you are on, or break free from these habits. We definitely tried(and succeeded breaking the players. There are unfortunately only two results when you try to change the culture

1.) Most players get it, you win some games, and you get rid of those players that don't

2.) Few players get it, you lose some games and you get rid of those that don't

Either way, changes will be made and slowly the culture of this organization will change. We were a bad team no matter if we won 20 or 40 games. We were going no where either way. But at least now, someone in our organization is making a stand agains the same tired, low standard pss poor atmosphere we have developed since the trading of Pat

Bonn, I know you read just about every thread in here cause you reply to nearly half the posts written. Go back and re-read all of Bippity's posts over the past 6 months. He has been answering those very questions just about every other day.
