the thing i like about Craw (& yes, he has MANY flaws in his game too), is that he;s fearless in crunchtime... he takes & makes big shots... when he's got it going, he's unstoppable... i wish Marbury showed some of that once ina while.
Marbury does...as far as I am concerned he is the best crunchtime passer I have ever seen.
This is a matter of opinion. Who do you want to shoot your last shot, your best player or your best shooter. Has been the cornerstone of debate for years. Does Ewing take the last shot or does Houston? Why is Ewing taking the 3 point shot and not Starks? Why is Jordan passing up a shot to give it to Kerr/Paxson? Magic often deferred to Kareem for final shots. Marbury might be the better player but Jamal is more gifted at creating a shot for himself and getting it off. Shaq maybe the best player on any of his teams at given time during his career do you want to guess how many last second shots the guy took? Steve Nash? Give me something more than Marbury doesn't take last second shots.
You are taking that line a little TOO seriously I was HALF joking......however, comparing Ewing and Starks taking last second shots is apples and oranges depending on what shot you need. Steph can shoot the 3 and he can drive for 2...he is both options. Craw is nowhere near our best shooter so that argument should be put to bed. Once again it falls back to what you think a PG is. I think a PG is the leader on the floor. If he has to, he should pass absolutely, unfortunately I don't think I can remember the last time Steph made a clutch shot. I remember Nate, Q, Craw all taking big shots...The last shot I remember Steph taking was the shot in the Spurs series when he was on the suns from like 25 feet straight on. I was in Models for that one and a bunch of the clerks were watching that one.
Look, I have no problem if Steph is scared. Hey if those shots are puckering up his butt-hole so be it. But don't tell me that Steph don't take big shots isn't a valid argument. I mean seriously Craw is the most inconsistent shot we have (until he proves otherwise) and has been demoted to the bench and when he is in the game at the end it is a given he is taking the shot. Is it too much to ask that the guy who acts like he is the best PG on the planet at least make teams THINK he will take the big shot?
