then you haven't been reading the boards cuz i was harping on that plenty ever since he made that ridiculous "Best PG in the NBA" comment.

personally I still want to hope for Marbury to succeed here. The simple fact is its up to Steph. He needs to shut up and play. He doesnt defend anyone. Whoever he guards has a monster night. Doesnt matter if its Jason Williams, Wade, Earl Boykins or Milt Palicio. The guy either sucks there or doesnt play hard. Either way its a problem. A big one. It doesnt help that he barks at guys for blowing assignments.... HIS assignments. Then of course you have the fact that he's been around 10 years, collected some nice stats and paychecks and never won a single playoff series. But the Knicks will never win with Charlie Ward right?

The only thing that talks in sports is wins and losses. Keep talking Steph. The day you can keep your man from going into the paint at will you will become a winning player.

As much as I hate Marbury, he has gotten pretty bad luck. IT didn't build around him at all. He didn't get the types of players Marbury could succeed with (big men). IT talked about him being the future of the franchise, but the talk was pretty much where all that ended. He's done a terrible job here regardless, but he could have been given more of a boost by IT.

if steph bought in from day one, the season would be completely different. if he bought in from day one, he would've been the leader of the team. but he didn't...and it got worse as the season went along.

it was in his hands. now it may be too late to salvage anything in ny. lb asked for a vet pg back in november for a reason. he knew steph wasn't on board and the legacy of the 05/06 knicks season will be steph vs. lb

Highly debateable that he didn't buy into his system. He shows up to non-mandatory practice and workouts with the new guys. Problem is as I stated in other places, Brown has as much and more to with the state of the Knicks. Don't know what Marbury has to do with James not being game shape, don't know what Marbury has to with Nate not knowing where the shot clock was, was it Marbury's fault that Q took half season to get himself ready to play basketball, that Curry's takes large chunks of mins off, that Brown has an issue with younger players, that Brown isn't after 7 months quite sure what lineup he wants to use. If Marbury has to run Brown's team for him then hell WTF do the Knicks need Larry Brown. For inspiration. All I needed to know about Brown and his tenture as the Knicks head coach was said by AD, ironic. The guy gets paid $8 million a year, what to tell Steph he should make the other guys follow what he says. Brown is a noteable trouble soul. He has a 30 year history of issues in other places just like Marbury. To me this is no different when the Knicks try to replace Riley with Nelson. Great name, HOF type of coach and all but he is no Riley.

Nelson was here for how many games and what was NY's record with him?

ANd the lesson was............let ewing go and rebuld with yoot! But we sided with Ewing and got 1.5 good seasons more. That was it.

In that case we caved to the aging superstar.

Dumping Nellie was the wrong choice.

only thing known about Brown's plan is Marbury isn't fitting it.
