That's not the point... The point is LB's job is to get the most possible from his team and this season he has gotten the least possible.
to me its totally the point. For all their skills and style of play the "style" that resulted in them producing good stats has NEVER translated into winning games for these guys. So Larry is asking them to do things they arent used to and that makes him less of a coach? I think the things he's asking for are the things that will make these guys better players. So far they are falling flat on their face but there is some progress.

I have no doubt hiring Westphal and letting Paul and Herb coach this thing would have produced more wins. Would we even be .500? Does that accomplish anything? Personally I'm glad that these players are exposed right now, and this roster is exposed right now. Pain brings change, comfort doesnt. That true with all things in life.

This has sucked, no doubt but I dont think its a waste. I also think the young guys have gotten good playing time, but Nate, Frye and Lee. All have played more this year than in any college season, and this from a coach that doesnt play rookies.

All these players play a playground style. Like they are just out there to have fun. But winning takes a huge amount of tougness in this league and this group of players has never demonstrated they have it. Maybe they can get it in fewer minutes. Maybe they need to sit and let it sink in.

I dont have those answers. I'm hoping Larry does and after a year it either hits these guys or we go out and get some less "talented" players who would rather win then have fun and make cool plays and collect millions.

Ive been bitching about the players since Ewing was traded. I never had a big problem with Chaney, Lenny, Herb or Larry. For me its always been about the guys on the court, and the guy that put the roster together. Same old story for me. The only difference is Larry has the clout to do what he's doing and call bull**** on all these guys and their lazy ass style of play.

it is pretty interesting to see a coach just call somebody out like that. it's like "f ck me? no no no my friend, f ck you. you know WHO THE F CK I AM? i'm LARRY F'N BROWN...KISS THE RING BIATCH!!!" (btw, i'm paraphrasing)

good newspaper fodder.

but at the end of the day, talk is CHEAP...VERY CHEAP. time to back up everything with actions. make moves in the offseason. and start winning. otherwise, it's just talk - and that goes for all parties.

i think letting marbury loose for the last 20 games or so is the only thing that will give the guy any trade value...some team that has no offensive weapons might see a 25 and 7 a night guy and take a risk...with the numbers he's put up since the begining of the season i really cant see too many teams sending us anything in value for this guy.

there is no way to establish or destablish trade value for Marbury. Like TO when he was traded from San Fran, teams already know who & what they are getting.

for NY its all about the lockerroom. Benching Steph cements LB's position as COMANCHE
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

My only comment is that Brown only left one situation better than got that was the Pistons. He left the Clippers in hell, he left the Pacers to the lottery, he left 76ers after he knew that was all he could get to take a sure win team that was just in the Eastern Conference finals. Be careful about believing Brown, the man has deceived better people. He always leave a bad taste in your mouth and then departs.

I am with you on this fish. As bad as this season is, I do think there is hope and this will make the players better. This is not about the knicks being a 35 win team and making these fans who have grown accustomed to sub par seasons happy, but building a winner. The knicks remind me of a expensive dish that is just horrible. Take filet mignon, Grilled red snapper, Pepperoni pizza, Shrimp scampi, All of these are great dishes indivudually, but mix them together and you have a mess. This is the knicks.

What we need are, lettuce, tomatos, cheese, peppers, and a nice piece of grilled chicken. Now individually all of these items are not the greatest, but mix them together and you have a really nice dish. This is what we need. I keep hearing that we have more talent, yea that may be true, but the mix is toxic.

We need some new groceries, either that or simplify the ingridients we have to make them mesh into a nice dish..

One ingredient we can do without right now it seems is the "marbury" spice....

Anyone who sits around and waits for the lottery to better themselves, either in real life or in sports, Is a Loser............... TKF

I love the fact that we're losing every game. It ensures that there will be a complete overhaul in the offseason...I HOPE. Larry, Frye, Lee & Francis are the only guys who stay if it was up to me

I guess that's one way of looking at it.

if any poster praises Marbury and/or criticizes larry Brown then you deserve 17-45

Larry brown is a Hall-of-Fame coach. Marbury makes every team better "after" he is gone.
