Ah they better do something. Its not about winning games in Atlanta, its about getting people to show up. A huge problem. Marbury is still attractive around Atlanta. If I was King I would have traded for Marbury instead of bringing in Joe Johnson. I don't expect King to survive this season anyway.

I don't expect King to survive either considering Knight is the GM.

Joe Johnson is a much better ball player than Stephon Marbury on both ends of the court.

Knights 2 years:

Atlanta is

* way under the cap

* has a young talent pool that actually cares about more than scoring

* was able to land last summers top free agent Joe Johnson.

fire him why?

and if they want a point perhaps they draft (what a novel idea) or throw $$$ at Banks or check the availabitlty of a guard like Tinsley whose contract is not massive on a year to year base, though long.

If the Hawks are going to draft a PG in this years draft then it would be wise of them to trade down. A trade with the Hornets would be the perfect scenario. The 4th pick for the 13th and 16th pick. Then they can pick Mardy Collins for the 13th pick to play point and Hilton Armstrong with 16th pick. Hornets can pick either Gay, Morrison or Bargnani. I think Aldridge is going first.

addition by subtraction. The guy IS A HEADCASE. I knew it before the Knicks got him. Then I was in denial for 2 years. No we know. It is true.

Trade him for a bag of balls. The team will benefit.

I think the Hawks are viable. A Marbury and Joe Johnson backcourt is pretty explosive. Marbury DOES create easy finishes for bigs. Just look at Lee's dunks last night. Guys like Marvin Williams and Josh Smith will get a lot of easy throw downs off Steph's dimes. They are also a DEAD spot for FAs. Nobody wants to go there and they had to pay through the teeth just to get Joe Johnson. Since they will have massive cap space maybe a sign and trade for Harrington straight up... we wouldnt have to give Al $13mm a year to start although I'm sure Isiah will offer it.

Hawks can merely draft a point. Knight top 10 protected the pick to Phoenix

and also they seem to have the utmost confidence in Joes ability to play point. In that case, they can draft a 2 with decent ball-handling skills to complement him like Roy.

And maybe they get the next Deron Williams. If Harrington walks they wont even be able to make the NBA minimum for salary so they have to add someone. They have enough young guys there. Nobody goes to games. The place has been a morgue since Lenny, Mookie, Steve and Deke said goodye, and that team was never more then a 2nd round loser.

Marbury has his set of problems but your not just going to draft a 20/8 player. Thats stupid. If you have watched a single Hawk game you would know that JJ is the furthest thing from a PG. He's a 2/3 that can handle the ball. Big difference and they know it there.

Yeah, I actually think Atlanta makes a lot of sense. the GATech connection for Marbury only adds to that.

Minnie and Houston seem fairly logical as well.

ATL is the last place. They have a young team and Starbury is just the man to help put it all togeter. I don't think so.

He needs to go to the pistons, San Antonio, teams with a built in leadership that he could respect and buy into. Not create it.

They don't need him, but thats the "type" of situation he might be of value in.

Can we trade him to the globetrotters? Oh, wait, you have to have a sense of humor. He does not even have any sense.

Trade him to charlotte for Brevin Knight. He is the pg we need running the team. If they are dumb enough Gerald Wallace would look good in a Knick uni
