Turnovers and opponents fg% can be fixed internally. There is no trade out there that will fix that. That is a chemistry issue.

I'll agree with chemistry would fix the turn overs- but on the perimeter d issue (3pt shooting, etc), I'm not sure the current roster can necessarialy improve. Some might (Q Woods, etc.), but Marbury & Crawford are just bad defenders.
Marbury plays good defense in stretches when he's motivated. I have some hope for him if he's in a winning environment. Crawford's never played one minute of good defense. I have zero hope for him.

look at Q though playing defense- we're loosing and he's still trying.

If marbury is only going to play well when things are going well and the team is winning, he needs to be on another team that wins and doesn't need him to win.

We're one of the best rebounding teams in the league. We need help in other areas more.

I think you're misreading the statistics. We're an excellent OFFENSE rebounding team - only an average defensive rebounding team, typical of teams that have athletic guys but are not very good at boxing out and don't pay as much attention as they should to getting back on defense.

During the Ewing, Oak era -we were never a very good offensive rebounding team but did an excellent job on the defensive glass - which usually goes along with playing good defense.

I don't think that it matters. A rebound is a rebound. Theoretically, if you have more rebounds, than you have more opportunities to score the ball. We have those opportunities. We blow them for other reasons - turnovers, shot-selection, bad offensive execution. In addition, if an opponent rebounds less than us but then scores more points of those rebounds, than rebound statistics don't matter. In this case, we need more defense - shot blocking, perimeter D, etc.

Bottom line, if we're already one of the better teams in rebounding, why add to that category when there are more pressing needs?

there was a few games where Crawford showed some signs that he was giving a good effort on the D... he was getting into passing lanes, getting his arms up to deflect shots, & a few games where he even rebounded the ball as well... i don't think he's beyond hope, he just needs to get comfortable playing in this system... he's not a loafer like Tim Thomas was imo.

We gotta face it though. The knicks are the worse team in the league, you know? Something has got to give.

What do the knicks need? The knicks have a lot of talent and they also have a lot of guys that do the same thing.

How can the knicks sign Evans with David lee around? How can the knicks sign a back up center with butler around? The knicks need a bonified scorer from the three spot. Woods is that guy.

The knicks answer their own questions. That to me is the most frustrating thing about this team. Knicks need to cut the fat some how.

Jalen, and Francis seem to be the only guys trying and they just got here. You just can't trade curry. Q-Rich just has to find his shot and he is fine. Craw is all over the place.....Frye showed what he can do but I don't think he has been used properly.

What will happen to the Knicks this off-season? Brown will be here still......what will it take to get Brown the players he wants?
