Amare is the only question mark I will take for Frye that is really all I can say. I'd rather have Frye for 82 games than any of those other guys for 50...

I'd take Amare and J-O'neal (Jermaine hasn't had a history of injuries)... Boozer and K-Mart should all be available w/out trading away Frye, but you never know. Honestly, there are several other people I'd trade Channing Frye for in a NYK minute! Elton Brand is one of em!

JO has been injured this season and last season.....and I am not getting confused bout the suspension either...This year he has played in 35 games last year 44(he missed what 15 games because of the suspension?) so he missed another 20 ish games last year too....he's been fragile.

i don't remember 1 person on this forum who was OK w/the idea of including Frye for Artest when the talks of where he'd be traded to were heating up.

I was the one person. In fact I had a thread that said "Get Artest, then go get Chandler..."

Curry
Artest
Chandler

This would have been a very good front line for us that really compliments each other. I proposed this when Chandler was on the outs with Skiles. Trading Frye, Lee and Nat in this package wouldn't have mattered interms of youth because Chandler is 23, Curry is 23 and Artest is 26.

JayNyC....your are so on point with everything you are saying. I like Frye too, but he is a bit overrated at this point. He really needs to hit the weight-room hard this summer. Did you notice GRanger (a SF no less) is bigger and stronger than Frye and was constantly muscling him around last night.

Yeah, I saw Granger.. I mean listen, I don't dislike Channing Frye.. I actually think he will turn out to be a good player in the future. But w/ this team... (I'm probably gonna be killed for this by the viewers of this forum) I'll say it anyway.. Can we truly afford to wait on his development?

Knicks Fans Be honest w/ yourselves.. Given the makeup of this team that answer is a resounding NO! Our core players are Curry/Marbury/Francis... Maybe Q-Rich or Jalen whomever is still around after this summer. We need a defensive minded player in the worst way when considering that group.. NOT TO MENTION THAT LARRY BROWN is so flipmode that he might take a leave of absence at anytime if things don't get better quick. Our window of opportunity is closing for this team (3yr plan).. so unless we intend to blow everything up.. and go w/ YOUTH and POTENTIAL, we gotta start making a run at the players that make sense for this teams direction immediately!!! Realistically, Frye ain't that player now.. Real talk, neither is Curry.. The difference is although he doesn't know how to play and use his body, fundementals of b-ball... He is not going to pushed around on the low block, and actually has made strides defensively (All be it, at a minimal)
