Thomas is a tweener. Please don't tell me your comparing Evans to Wallace?

at the time he was traded to Det, yes I am. I am in no way shape or form saying Reggie Evans will be the next Ben Wallace. Ben is a self made man who worked his ass off for years. Also those same knocks on him followed him to Det where despite averaging 14 rebs a game (Det. we 32-50) people wondered if he could ever be a part of a winning team because of his offensive problems. I guess he answered that question.

Reggie is blue collar, tough, and a tremedous rebounder. Put him with LB and I think he could be a pretty special piece, an elite role player so to speak.

He's everything we need right now IMO

What does Evans do that Lee doesn't? No need to spend money
Same. I think Lee with playing time is the way to go. I wouldnt mind Evans though.

The biggest difference I see with Evans and Lee is that 1 is a rugged 4 with muscle and bruising power, the other is a 3/4 that uses quickness and leaping.

Forget Evans or K-Thom for the moment.

WE NEED LEADERS.

LB had guys like Rasheed and Billups in the starting lineup.

We have.......not much.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Kenny Thomas is still reasonably young, thrived under LB and can play both forward spots. Reggie Evans IMO is on the cusp of being one of the league's elite rebounders.

Doesnt have to be sexy to work. Both would be reasonably priced

I agree, kenny thomas is a solid player. But here is the difference between guys like malik and guys like mo taylor...

On the pick and roll malik ran back to his man after running out on the ball handler, he ran back with his hands up and the pass hit his hands and the knicks got the steal.

similar play, MO Taylor ran back with his hands on his side, reult was a backdoor pass and a score...

Little thing... little things..

I bet some teammates would be really jealous of his dashing good lucks. Bottom line: Bad for chemistry.

When the KT trade was made, there was no LB and there was no Curry. Hindsight is 20/20, but I am sure that right now, IT would not make that trade and LB would not let him! At the time, though, Knick fans thought that IT should have at least kissed Colangelo after F'ing him over so bad. I do not remember anyone being upset about the deal.

What I hate about all this bashing is that nothing happens inside a vacuum. KT's trade opened the path for Sweetney, which most fans wanted and Frye, the guy that was drafted that night. Then came Curry, who next to KT would be much better, IMHO. KT would do the dirty work, and Curry would sweep up. The fact is that Frye is NOT a good compliment to Curry. Curry needs a KT type playing next to him. someone who will defend the 4 and 5 and rebound. Or in other words, someone like OAKLEY who did that for Ewing. No, I am not comparing Curry to Ewing on either end of the floor. Ewing is a top 50 player all time. Curry is not top 50 this year!

So I for one, am NOT of the opinion that this team is far off. What we need is the following: Defensive Veteran leadership at the 3 and 4. Then let Frye and Curry play the 5. Marbury must play a secondary role on this team and if he cannot ship him out. the PG is the QB on the court. Do any of us think Marbury is capable? Really? I have my doubts.

If I am LB, tonight, I start, Nate, Francis, Woods, Lee and Frye. In other words, guys who will work hard and try to play D. If you do not play D, you do not play. Simple. I do not care how much money you make, you have to play D first. Then rebound. The offense will come by accident as that is where this team actually has talent!

Curry had AD in CHI & he had him again in NY, but the Knicks still stunk, & he was still highly inconsistent... what Curry needs is a different mindset... stop being a little baby, & start living up to the huge contract he was signed to along w/the expectations everyone has in him to become 1 of the premier bigmen in the game.

I don't know if its in LB's nature but from all accounts Curry is a sensitive kid and needs a father son talk. he seems to be willing to work, he's shown better conditionning and in the last game even passed back out from the post. The xxx's and ooo's can be shown to him by Herb and crew but the mindset has to be drilled into him. Ithink LB knows this, he has never once publically embarrassed him. He's still only 22-23.
