It's time to build around a nucleus of players, and find an adequate coach for them. LB is a great coach but not the right fit for this team. He's done a terrible job this year, I hope he finds players he wants to work with and develop for the long term, so we can finally develop a TEAM here.

I hope Frye, Lee, Curry and Marbury could be the players we can build around.

I think the problem with Lee is that Channing is blocking his spot at PF, and Craw is blocking his place at SF (this one is a chain reaction....because Craw is here, Q has to play the 3, and Rose has to back him up thus relegating Lee to what he is....Get rid of Craw, use Q, Francis, Steph, start Lee with Rose off the bench...Consider starting Butler for Curry or at least playing Butler for Curry for extended minutes when Curry is playing like a 7 foot SF...

Bro understand the game...Craw is a 2 and plays 1&2...Lee is a 4....Lee plays the 3&4...Lee is
is not very good at the 3 but can be good at the 4.....He needs to add size as does Frye in the offseason.....

Start Butler over Curry?...

Ok I have heard enough...

Bro....don't tell me to understand the game. I understand it just fine. #1-I said start Butler over Curry to teach Curry a lesson....got selective dyslexia do we? Miss that part? #2-Butler actually is a better compliment to both Curry and Frye than they are to each other because he brings that rebounding and muscle underneath.

Lee has to get minutes where ever he can BECAUSE FRYE IS OUR PF OF THE FUTURE. You choose to develop Lee over Frye, you do that. I'll take the 6-11 Frye over Lee at the PF spot any day as of now. Lee can be a decent SF not the best but definately servicable. Bro, he was grabbing 12 and 15 boards at the SF spot and playing VERY well there for at least 6 games at the begining of the year.

I didn't realize 274 posts classified you as the svengali of Knicks basketball. Yeah, I said svengali. Look it up.

The reasons Lee cannot play sml forward in this league...

Lebron
Carmelo
Mc Grady
Pierce
Hill
Kobe
Ginobili
Artest

And I can name many more...A few of these guys has absolutly torched Lee while playing sml forward this season.....Please, if you think I'm just talking, look into it....

P.S. If you choose to develop Lee over Frye, you will be considered an idoit by most basketball fans...

I wouldn't trade him for KG, given the age difference.

Who DOESN'T have problems with those guys? Didn't this topic get broached in an other thread? Other than Manu you are talking about FRANCHISE players....If Lee could hold his own against them we got the STEAL of the draft.

If who chooses to develop Lee over Frye? Me? I said develop Frye and Lee gets his minutes wherever....

Can someone hook this brotha' up with hooked on phonics?

How was the mood in the Garden? It came across as bad on the tube. Booing, disgust, the whole thing.

booing. and many times apathetic.

fire isiah chants have begun. alot of "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH's" in exasperation after another stupid turnover.

crowd was frustrated.

You told me to "understand the game", I said nothing to belittle anyone, and I usually never do until posters belittle me first..I posted opinion framed as opinion. You posted crap framed as fact. There is a difference.

Never said I know it all. I'll be the first to admit that one. I was totally wrong about Steve Logan.

no it isnt. we're not saying that frye will be as good as kg, and jermaine/shaquielle oneal etc. but those guys are rather old, and it isnt unreasonable to think that we wont be able assemble a roster capable of winning a championship during their windows, thus making it a good idea not to trade frye for them, who has a good chance of becoming a chris bosh caliber player.

I thought Ariza was Marion?

I dont have the will power to do it, but i want to know what channing's production has been in games where he plays 30 plus minutes. seems like the only times he has struggled were in games where he wasnt given the time to get into the flow, be it by foul trouble or because he was "browned" out

Shouldn't trade the rookies.

Remember exhibition games, when they would carry us back into games?

Well, it's not b/c they're THAT good. It's b/c they play team ball.

Trade Marbury. Trade Q. Trade Curry. Trade whoever you gotta trade.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

mins pts rebs
33 21 3
33 12 6
39 21 11
35 12 3
36 21 8
33 21 3
34 25 3
30 18 7
38 8 9 (at Phoenix)
41 30 7
31 14 7
36 18 8
35 15 7
33 18 7
36 17 5
32 17 10

averages in 16 games with 30+ min played:
34.7 mpg, 18.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg
per 40: 20.7 pts, 7.5 rebs

averages overall:
25.4 mpg, 13.4 ppg, 6.0 rpg
per 40: 21.1 ppg, 9.4 rpg

So Frye's scoring productivity is virtually the same whether he plays 30+ minutes or not. His rebounding has actually been worse in games where he's played 30+ minutes than in games where he hasn't, but that is likely a product of sampling bias. The vast majority of Frye's 30+ minute games came much earlier in the season, and he has improved his rebounding significantly since then.

He's right. Franchise just has that kind of positive energy...it's infectuous...even marbs and rose seem interested again. Once Curry stops missing dunks (dunks for pete's sake) and Q hits his outside shot, we are suddenly a team again.

unless you think there aren't ANY other players in the NBA better than Channing Frye, then he's not an "untouchable"
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
