Well, I like Crawford a lot, but I just can't see what his role on this team is anymore. No way can we make him or Steph or Francis a small foward. I was thinking that the best lineup would be Francis, Marbury and Q at the 3 with Nate and Rose coming off the bench for us. But now the logjam is awful, and there's going to be A LOT of angry guards on our roster.

OMG! EVEN MORE genius! just another example of how progressively longterm thinking other GM's are compared to our own... this SUCKS... Tim Thomas on the Nets... that's exactly what that franchise needed to vault them into the NBA Finals.

Nets need more shooting as well as another scorer off the bench. TT will fill that role. When you have Kidd Carter and RJ as your 1-2-3 and Krstic at 5, tiny moves like this can bolster you.

Oh please. What they needed was a big man and they traded away the big man they did have. They did shed some salary which I hoped my team would start doing but that move didnt help them.

OK they needed a couple of things. They put themselves in position to take care of at least 1 need.

Its not a guarantee the Bulls will release Thomas and the Nets sign him.

no there isn't. doesn't mean you don't plan like it is + they moved out of lux tax threshold with the deal and dump a bit player making more than they felt he was worth.
