that makes denver more rugged, BUT they were short on guards and now have less

is it possible that we see jamal and Mo Taylor for k-mart>

yeah, that's what I've heard. Gives Denver plenty of cap flexibility. and at this rate, for the Knicks, why not? the roster makes no sense as is.

crzy - i was scared what this team would do yesterday.
today - i could care less.

Kiki is a great GM, Miller, Melo, Nene, Camby those are all pretty good pieces every GM makes a mistake, but he just got a great deal and may i be the first to add there goes are ****ing draft pick, they just added two very good defenders to the team and made denver a lot better.....

At this point the Knicks are so ****ed, a jamal and mo for K-Mart might actually be worth it, and i like that proposed deal where we ship Francis or Marbury in the four team deal that Chad Ford mentioned for Odom if there was any way that would happen i would be content....

Marbury/Nate
Q/Woods
Odom/Rose/Lee
KMart/Frye
Curry

Instead of the headlines and high dollar players these are the type of role players we should be targeting, like Reggie Evans and Earl Watson, Duhon, Battiers. It is very difficult for us to ever make these deals because we don't have moderately priced players....they are almost all high or low dollar players.

thats what we need in the draft. people can pooh-pooh guys like armstrong and boone, but those guys do the things that win games. Not being a homer, but if we drafted Armstrong and Marcus Williams I would darn well take it. a pure 1 and a 4-5 ben wallace type player.

good trade for DEN... Evans & Ruben give them some good added toughness, & insurance against KMart & Nene's questionable health status this year.

i don't get why SEA would make this trade though... how does Earl Watson really help them?
(on another note, i'm glad he's not coming here... i'd much rather have Mike James)

mike james is 31 years old and is a shooter first, passer 2nd. he would not be good for us.

we need a guy that will look to PASS first out of the backcourt. we need a guy that at least knows how to stay in front of him man. is earl watson "the glove" reincarnate? hell no. but he is completely different than any other guard we have.

if you asked me point blank, francis or earl for THIS team, i would choose earl.

Mike James plays w/the sort of fire i want in a Knicks player... he's a money player, u can see it... he's the type of guy that can lead a team... Earl Watson's highly overrated in my eyes... i'd rather have Brevin Knight over him too, regardless of the age difference.

i don't overrate watson at all. at the end of the day he's just a backup pg. but it's just a small piece that shows US that we're moving in some sort of direction. it's a minor move that improves our defense and cuts down on the bad turnovers. he is what he is but he would've been a good player for us.

it's not always about getting big name man, we need to assemble pieces to change the makeup of a team and this would've been a step, albeit small, in that direction.

getting james means full MLE for 5 years at 31 years old. how is that different than the kurt thomas extension? it's actually worse b/c kurt was a frontcourt player.

yeah, I'm betting the Nuggets are trying to get QRich over Crawford. Murray and Craw are practically the same player (offensively at least). Also, Qrich has the same deal as Craw, but his deal runs a year shorter and of course Q has the much reported problems with Marbury so Q is a goner sooner or later.

QRich and Mo Taylor for KMart and Voshon works and saves Denver about $35 million over the long term, gives them a decent piece in Mo Taylor who expires next summer and a solid SG in QRich who plays D. Leaves us with a midget backcourt that can't defend and a rugged, defensive PF with the worst contract in the league who has chronic knee problems.

Given that trade, I'm guessing we'll give Denver their pick back to make the deal work...

It looks like they got a few tough, good rebounders to replace K-Mart. I'd do Mo Taylor and Craw for K-Mart and cap filler.

ah, here's a thought:

Ruben Patterson and Kmart. Saves Denver even more money and gives us even more headcases. Can you feel it, NY?

Lenard's going to POR as part of the 3 way trade that just went down... i don't think Mo T's going anywhere... he has familiarity w/Jalen & Francis.

i see Q Rich & Malik being offered for KMart & Najera or Buckner

really, none of this is happening. this is just a pipe dream we're praying for so that this trainwreck makes some sort of sense.

there are no more moves. this is our team until the summer when Isiah will whip everyone into a tizzy by "chasing" KG.

hey, maybe we'll trade Crawford and both our first round picks for Patterson.

I would take those two in an instant, and with our picks it is possible, but boone? I think he stinks... Hilton and marcus would be a great draft....

unless we are dumping jerome James, taking K-mart at this point is as stupid as the francis trade. That would kill this franchise.....

slight update on the possibility of a Denver trade, supposedly they are moving Flip Murray somewhere else, which gives them even more of a need for Craw/QRich. Be the first on your block to own a Ruben Patterson NYK jersey.

Craw to SEA makes more sense... he's from the area anyway, & he's definitely an upgrade over Flip... if SEA can unload Fortson & Flip, i don't think it's a stretch to think they'd take Craw's contract off our hands.
