it aint exactly frazier and monroe but it can't be much worse than what I saw on the court tonight. A part of me still thinks Isaiah is getting even with us for what Bernard did to him in game 5.

This was a good deal IMO. Contrary to the doom that the knee-jerk reactors predict, I think Steph and Steve will get along great, and hopefully they can all gel enough to string together some wins.

As long as they don't end up as close as Stevie and Cuttino.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

In isolation, it's OK, but it removes any chance of getting under the cap by the end of 2007.

the trade also goes down if you look at QRich, Jamal, Jalen, Nate and Steph and wonder what the hell is going on.

edit: if Isiah's big plan is to make a play for Garnett this summer, and giving up Frye in the process, I will be extremely disappointed. That plan has maybe a 1 in 10 chance of working, but it's really the only way of salvaging this team of mismatched parts and to top it all off it won't make us better than Detroit, Miami, Indiana or even the Nets.

Two simple questions:
(a) Can anyone deny that IF Francis plays hard, this trade will go down as one of the five biggest steals of the decade in the NBA?
(b) If you're critical of this trade, is it because you assume that it is impossible for Francis to play hard for an extended stretch of games? I'm not even saying that assumption is unreasonable. I don't think I know enough about Steve to evaluate that assumption fully. I'm just curious what critics think on both of these questions.

this trade ranks right up w/the Nets stealing Vince away from the Raptors for spare parts & late round picks... let's hope Francis flourishes in NY like Vince has in NJ.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Steve Francis has not been as asset to Houston or Orlando. His positive impact on a game is going downard, not upward. Orlando has already improved themselves by getting his negative presence out of their faces.

Sorry, Bonn, it's just how I see this trade. It's more of the same instead of getting something that we really need. PLUS a further commitment to reckless, at this point crazy, spending.

You don't even have to go into the debate about how good Franchise is or can be, this is about the Knicks making the same mistake over and over again and actually believing that someday they will be able to build a team. Give me a break, this is crazy. The worst thing a GM can lack is a plan, and thats exactly how Isiah is right now. I miss having a real team in NY. This organization just stinks...
