In regards to us being over the cap for more years anyhow, this is exactly the point. The ONLY way we can get a real good player NOW is by unloading our big expiring contracts and getting someone good. Or the draft. We can't do it another way because we are over the cap. So what have we gotten? For TT's contract and Sweetney we got Eddy Curry. And we gave up a #1 pick. Jury is still out on this trade. For our next expiring contract (Penny), we are getting Steve Francis. I don't like him. We got nothing for the Allen Houston situation, and our last big contract we can unload, Steph, looks like it has no takers for his overinflated price.
So, Curry and Francis so far. We'll wait and see for Marbury's replacement.

I guess I left out Jalen Rose acquired for Antonio Davis's contract. Lord knows what the hell we are going to do with Jalen Rose. I think we will keep him for another year and so we have one more chip besides Marbury to offer. If anyone wants Jalen Rose.
