Eh...

22 points (on 53% shooting), 12 rebounds and 4 and a half assists per game is elite. Pretty far from "cooked".

his lowest PPG since 2001-2. lowest Rebounds since 00-01. lowest blocks of his career. lowest steals since his rookie season. lowest assists since the lockout season and they've been a lotto team the last two years. When did Patrick Ewing ever land in the lotto during his prime? He's on the down down down side of his career. He's been in the league 11 seasons playing all out every night. He's almost done.

I can't believe you guys don't want Kevin Garnett and are so dramatic about this possibility. I hope you are being facicious. I'm all for developing young players, but you're scared of getting Kevin Garnett for Frye and Penny Hardaway?

So, 29 years old is just too old? When he and Marbury were together Marbury played the best ball of his career, isn't that an encouraging sign? He helps us in nearly every department that we have weaknesses IMMEDIATELY, while we can still develop the rest of the young guys, but not rely on them.

What do you all expect this team to do? Is just doing nothing automatically better than any deal? Even for KG? Is developing Frye really better than getting Kevin Garnett in his prime? Banking on the potential of Frye can be just as much ALL IN as going for KG.

I think you guys are just so paranoid that no matter what trade the Knicks make, especially if it that term involving the fake curse and star player, that it automatically must be a disaster for the team.

Let's put it this way...I respectfully disagree.

I don't care if he averaged 100 points and 58 rebounds a game two years ago.

What he's doing now is still nowhere close to "done" or "cooked". That's just absurd.

Ewing had some of his lowest numbers as a Knick when we were title contenders, and his best numbers when we were a lotto team or 8th seed. Stats can be vastly overrated, although not always, of course.

His team stinks, they have none of the good players that got them to the WC Finals 2 years ago, nor the same coach, and one has to wonder what his mental state is being in that situation, after he tried so hard to get the T-Wolves to be winners, finally did, but then the team fell apart the next year.

Ewing was also winning when he put up those lesser numbers. Garnett made it out of the first round once. Ewing made it out for 10 straight seasons.

Sorry, KG has always rubbed me the wrong way. I think he's completely overrated. I wouldn't be surprised if the Wolves wanted to start over. KG isn't damaged goods, but he won't make us championship contenders and we'll gut our team.

Preach brother!

BTW, if Garnett is almost done at 29, that would mean Marbury is almost done (lowest averages of his career). So with that theory, shouldn't we be trying to move Marbury and is bloated contract for picks and expirings so we can develop the very young and promising 22 yr old Frye and the whatever else we can get out the draft

"Man, who knows with this team." Aguirre.

the one thing i will say about kg is that he never had that go to move at the end of games to just take over and win. i love kg and he's definitely a top 5 nba player but it's the one thing that seperates him from ewing. ewing would demand the ball and take over games. kg is not like that. but with steph, francis, and curry, that's actually a GOOD thing.

Except we traded 3 of our next 5 picks, so I guess we're just starphuching til the cows come home.

Wow....

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

These deals are aimed at getting the most out of LBs time here. They're aimed at a three year run for a title. What did you guys want for the next three years? The picks aren't there, so losing just to build a team is a waste of time.

This is a high stakes gamble, but if we can field a starting unit with KG and Curry, who are you gonna double team? No to mention Stephon. C;mon guys. I'd trade Frye and Lee and N8 for KG. Anyone who wouldn't has been beaten down so hard they don't know a good thing when they see it.

We can always stink again in three years and actually HAVE a lotto to look forward to.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.
