You mean the guy who also got rid of Othella, Frank Williams, Dikembe Mutombo, and Cezary Trybanski in that deal?

Haha

2 years later we are still looking for a Frank Williams and a Mutumbo and trying to move Crawford.
Aint that ironic!

We're looking for a Frank Williams? I'm pretty sure he's available! Mutombo? Get serious.

you're not that dense.

Currently we are looking for a back-up point who can go 25 mpg who'll distribute and defend like we had with Frank and we are looking for a veteran paint presence who'll block shots rebound and prayfully rub off on Fat Curry like we had in Deke.

Instead of bargains,

Isiah paid Crawford 56 mill to show to a bigger audience why Pax didn't want him in some retro dream of the Isiah Joe Vinnie backcourt. In his grand scheme he failed to realize Marbury is the anti- Isiah, and Crawfish is a crockpot.

Isiah paid Jerome James 29 mill when Deke who at 61 playing the same role is still far more effective is costing the Rockets about 25 mill less.

Isiah is attempting to acquire Earl Watson for 29 mill. Frank was stil on a rookie contract and prolly resigns for 2 mill per.

Williams weight and conditioning issues have gotten him out the league. When he was here he showed he can play. Yeah he is available but like most Layden people who have left, he probably doesn't hold Thomas and the way he runs NY in high regard.

^The point is that Jamal is more valuable to our team right now than any of those guys. Don't act like it was a bad trade when Frank is not even in the league right now and Dikembe is playing for a paycheck in order to finance a hospital.

1 thing though, I do believe Larry is doing the right thing in trying to hone Jamal's point guard skills. If he gets it he can be a poor man's Cassell. Skip, after a lengthy struggle has been able to incorporate himself post-big $$$ contract, so Crawford has a leaf.

Some of you are so ****ing dense; Crawford is more valuable to the team right now, I would rather have frank williams and zeke right anyday of the week the two would cost us us 4 million for the two of them instead we are on the books for 5 more years and 95 million dollars for James that gives the team nothing and Crawford who spotty play loses us games....We are losing nearly every game we play have 14 wins and are the worst teams in the league, not to mention we have Jerome Williams and his salary counting against us.....but hey crawfords fadeaway jumpers that kill the offense are worth it

Fans that think Crawford is valuable are ****ing *******s he doesn't play defense and has a nice game 1 out of every 3.....for that money i think we pass.....Williams is out of the league but he was coming into his own with the team had some balls and could play a little bit of defense and having Mutumbo would have been a nice change of pace when we want a more offensive minded unit on the floor and you don't have to worry about the centers offense....

Cap flexibility is not important, and guess what we would have had some had we not done this deal, and then Zeke compounds his mistake by taking on 21 million dollars in the rose deal to get two bottom of the barrel picks in the first round....

Our Crawford by the way and his 39% career shooting average was also responsible for the Knicks having to sign Vin Baker, god isiah is ****ing dumb.......

So as a result of the Trade we now have the following salaries counting against us; Mo Taylor (VB Deal) Jerome James, Crawford, and J. Williams, not bad for 13 wins.....don't make me puke

The decision to sign Jerome James has nothing to do with trading for Jamal.

Of coure it does, NY has done this all the time instead of picking up cheap veteran talent like a cheap backup we trade for Eisley, instead of signing Jimmy Jackson we sign Shandon Anderson, Weatherspoon, instead of taking Zeke for a couple of years to work with the younger players we sign jerome

The choice was never between Jerome James or Dikembe. Eddy and Channing weren't here to work with when Dikembe was here. And FYI JJ doesn't make that much more than Dikembe does...and it's "Deke" not "Zeke".

OK, that's the new contract Dikembe signed. Anyway, I'm not making the argument that James is better than Dikembe. I'm saying to bring JJ into the Crawford trade is not justified.

I would actually like to have Andre Miller, if in a 3 way trade he could be gotten for Crawford with Denver getting Francis and Orlando getting rid of Francis's contract.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.
