the rumor I'm hearing is craw+dlee for earl watson.

You can't be serious. Since when did Watson become a superstar? This sounds like a Brown trade. If we get Watson we might as well trade Nate too, because I can't see Nate getting any minutes once Watson is here.

I don't understand why David Lee can't trun into a monster at the power forward spot. The guys is more of a natural power forward. It looks like he has the frame to add substantial muscle and really bulk up. He has proved already he is capable of making an outside shot. He can dribble the ball. He can get the ball in the low post and face other power forwards and take them off the dribble with either hand. David is gifted athletically as well and is a tremendous rebounder. Why are we not trying to bulk him up and turn him into a monster around the basket. If he can all of a sudden start knocking down 20 footers then he can definitely learn some effective post moves. I don't care if that is Frye's position. Let them both develop at the 4 and then we'll deal with it. Lee can be an incredible asset at the power forward. He can really be a force in transition on the boards and he definitely has potential to learn post moves. Let him just work every day in practice and with coaches and on his own and get this done. The Knicks are fooling themselves if they think Lee can play small forward. that is a joke. He can get away with playing there for a little but over time he will just get exposed and he wont be used to his best abilities. Develop him the way that he can excel the best and then deal with it.

You think DLee can guard Sheed, Duncan, Garnett, Kmart,J Oneil,E Brand,C Bosh,Z Randolf, etc...They give him time now at the sml fwd because he needs time on the court but as you say he is being exposed there as well....Lee and Frye really needs to bulk up big time next year...Frye has a sml time low post game that can get better if he increases his strength...I think Frye has more upside..Well so does the rest of the world except people in these post.....

Certainly not DLee...They all play each other very well...I think Sheed may be the best defender in the group tho....

It's hard for anyone to guard them, which explains why they all average at least around 15 a game.

Lee would obviously have a hard time, but its not unreasonable to assume he'll be able to develop and do a decent job.

Nene is injury prone and is a FA after this season. If Isiah trades Lee for him, his ass should be fired.

So seeings how I'm delusional and high on Knicks propaganda, how about you let me know what it is exactly that is obviously going to prevent Lee from becoming a decent defensive player in the next few years? Last I checked he had an excellent defensive coach, hustle, desire and heart...

I wouldn't be able to tell you a thing about Larry's rotations or lineups. Only he (if that) knows what he's doing. Your point being...? Because Larry has never played him in the position, he's never going to become a decent defensive player?

Denver supposedly asked for frye. If they take lee instead then fine. For some senile reason lee is on browns dog house. Lee won't play the 3 or 4 here so why not trade him? If the knicks fill a need then fine.

Nate got big balls but he can't play point and that's what the knicks need from him. Nate can't play defense. Watson fixes that.

Nene never struck me as a defensive terror. He is the quickest big man I have ever seen. Quicker than curry and Hakeem. He still has the potential tag on him too. The dude don't rebound and he can be a little over anxious picking up fouls, turnovers and techs.

Only way I want nene is if the knicks can start him. I don't want Taylor or rose playing ahead of him. Frye can jeep his role but he needs to be the first big man off the bench.

Look I hate when I brought to bash players I like when fellow fans becomes unrealistic about their game...I'm here reading post where we should only trade DLee if we get nene and watson back....I'm reading that we can let Fyre go in a trade but not DLee.....It's at this point i need to bring some people back to earth...I mean come on, I like the guy too but I not going to say he is untouchable or we should build our team around him...Which is what you are saying if people want to trade Frye instead of him....Because the Knicks right now are about Curry and Frye, unless Larry gets his way and want to go another way...

He's played about 600 minutes as a pro. He's played most of that at small forward. He was drafted 30th. Could he become a monster at power forward - how would you know? It's kind of a flimsy resume for a can't miss "Monster" power forward.

Because the Knicks right now are about Curry and Frye

and the record reflects this

unless Larry gets his way and want to go another way...

Defense for the last umpteen years of pro-sports wins championships. Somewhere along the line, Isiah forgot this. Imma ride with Coach Lar on this one.
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

I hope when he trades DLee and other young players to gamers like Ratliff you can be found to back him up.....

Lee got fundamentals. He can pass. He can rebound.

And I like the kids game.

I hope Larry seeks to keep fundmaentally sound players and trade Nate and Craw for the type of player he wants.

I think Lee may be able to Kmart (who doesn't belong in this group of players) and Randolph who is your basic above average PF...but do you realize --other than Brand all of these guys are 6-11-- and as athletic as hell--other than Randolph who isn't that athletic-- and are THE toughest matchups in the league?

Defense wins championships but you still need to score or you wanna even be in a winning situation.

Even the bad boy pistons could score with the best of them.

Defense wins championships.....yeah I heard that said by all the great players in the game. Its true, but they mean that in crunch time. All the good teams get the stops. But those same teams can get that tough basket in the clutch too.

So think for yourself for once and stop following what you hear a famous coach/player say.

Mck1 that's for you.
