Donnie Walsh traded for JO!! Not Isiah he is incapable of making a productive trade

Ok...my bad he didn't trade for him. But he did develop him. Maybe he should be the coach.

It is well noted that Isiah was the one who lobbied for J.O. aggressively. J.O. has said it himself. In fact when they got rid of Isiah that was one of the reasons J.O. said he didn't want to be there anymore originally. Are we forgetting?

1995 - Stoudamire was Rookie of the Year (and the Knicks tried to land him for Allan Houston)
1996 - Kobe refused to go anywhere but LA (its why teams passed on him) O'Neal was an absolute mystery and took a loooong time to develop (he wasnt the best PF in the East back then) Camby is looking like an all-star again.
1997 - T-Mac was a great pick, Chrosere, Anderson and Knight were much more highly regarded.
2004 - If they did that draft over Ariza would be a lottery pick despite Brown burying him to death.

They promised O Neal that IT would be there so he could re-sign. As soon as the ink was dry they fired IT.

Yup. JO was pissed Indiana waited for him to re-sign before they fired Zeke. Also, he gives major credit to Mark Aguire for teaching him the NBA post game. I have a feeling Aguire will eventually have a similar effect on Frye and Curry.

no he wouldn't. Cleveland takes Al Jefferson or JR Smith over Luke. Ariza would go before none of the other 12 picks.

He wouldn't be a lottery pick but I bet he'd be picked ten to fifteen spots higher than he actually was picked at. I think every one of Isiah's 4 draft picks would have been picked significantly higher if they re-did each draft now.

crzymdups clearly you can't read, no one said Camby was unimportant in that series, but lets not forget LJ's four point play, and everything else it was a team effort, he was def the X factor

Game Two:
LJ 25pts 7rbs, Houston 15, Childs 12 (Camby 6pts 11rbs)

Game Five:
Johnson 17pts Sprewell 29pts, Houston 19pts (Camby 21pts 13rbs)

Game Six:
Spree 20pts, Houston 32pts (Camby 15pts 9rbs)

no idea what the other games were

Boston reportedly wanted Lee at 18 but Green was on the board so they took the guy who has star potential.

Nate stays where he is at or drops. Garcia will show he should've went higher. Charlotte using the 13th pick on May was confusing as was Minny taking McCants 14th.

Drops? Nate's in the rookie all-star game and is a top 12 rookie in every ranking. Maybe teams would still be deterred by his height and he might fall out of the top 12 to closer to 15, but I doubt he'd go past 15.
Lee would go around 22 and Frye would be top 3 IMO.

maybe Memphis takes him at 19. Don't see any other teams with the means to use a high pick on Nate the novelty.

Camby was unstoppable in that series.

Knocking Isiah's draft record is stupid. Especially when there are so many other things to choose from.

The guy never had a bad draft, unless you consider the one's where he traded picks away

I think lots of people like yourself miss the point that Isiah is not trading from a position of strength...You always complain about who he trades for or who he signs as a free agent..You seem like a person unfraid to do the research...Who could Isiah have traded for? Given the value of the players he met on the Knicks or free agent he might have been able to sign with the mid level exception, also given the fact that your are trying to fill certain needs....You can't draft Granger when you don't have a big man on your squad...Be real for once..Please...Tell me who....

Isiah left Granger on the board. we'll see how that eventually turns out.

don't forget Gerald Green! He was burning up the D-league!

I like how guys who aren't producing for other teams get the benefit of the doubt but rookies who produce for our team get devalued. That's really cool.

how many times have you watched Granger. Indy has had him starting four when O'Neal is out. He scores distributes defends rebounds blocks shots gets steals. He'll be another AK47 in a year or two.

ROFL!!!! come on man, AK is one unique player, granger does not come close to filling the stat sheet the way this guys does. Geez... LOL... and they say we overrate our own players? ha!!!

he impacts points rebounds steals & blocks already. assists will come as he gets more playing responsibility.

the game after O' Neal went down:

42 minutes. 21 pts 14 rebs 2 assists 1 stl 2 blocks. he has 3 double-doubles in 5 games since O' Neal went down.

5 times this season he has had at least 5 rebs a stl and a block. 1

13 times this season he has recorded at least 1 stl and 1 block.

Mck1, you need to look over your posts and admit to youself that you are a living breathing example of the grass is always greener.

Any time you speak about another teams players its 'will prove in the future' or 'he'll be ak47 in a few years' but when it comes to your own players you can't look past what they've done today. Who the hell is Al Jefferson? What's he ever done on a court that makes him so special? What's his highest rebounding figures? Top scoring game? Why was Granger buried on the bench most of this year? As far as I recall, Green has less assists then Curry does and he's the worst passer in the league almost! What makes you so sure he's going to get it, but Frye,Lee and Nate are done and dusted developmentwise? Cha taking May was weird but IT taking his guys was a mistake!

Cmon man! be real to yourself at least.
Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream things that never were and ask why not?

you hope Frye turns out to at least be Kurt. Sweetney was Brand in Knicks land in the not so distant past.

Isiah had McDyees and Ward expiring thats a position of strength along with a first round pick, and two very interesting euro's who suck but they had value at the time (he could have just bought out Eisley if we didn't want him)

The next year he had Harrington, Williams, and Deke expiring along with Nazy Mohammmed he rushed a deal in the offseason for Crawford and added more Salary for Jerome Williams

He had two expiring contracts this year, and also another draft pick....

Had he not went crazy and added long term deals, Mo, Malik, Crawford, Jerome we have more flexibility.....be real give me a break you be real...turning expiring contracts into fringe talent is worthless
