the main thing i noticed with the jalen rose effect was the confident attitude. did you noticed that when we were down as much as 12 pts. rose took over and made the key plays, something no one has done in the past three weeks. it would have been a blow out. but rose infused a winner's attitude on to the court (even though it has been a long time since he has been on a winning team).

Yup, totally agree. The last time we averted a blow out and made it close was the last time Marbury was healthy. We were down 18 and Marbury went on a 9-0 run to cut it to 9 heading into the 4th.

This is a young team and it gets down on itself. Vets help pick them up.

Also, Jalen playmaking frees up Jamal to do what he should always do: spot up and shoot. Jamal with confidence and no playmaking responsibilities is a completely different player.

Rose's menatility definitely had a positive effect on the floor. He definitely plays like a floor general and has an idea of what he wants to do out there. IT's also nice to have someone who can pass with his back to the basket.

one question, do you think we could've waited two more weeks to make this deal?

i mean, jalen wasn't going anywhere so if we still wanted him, he would've been around on 2/23.

but i think AD's stock goes UP the closer we get to the 23rd. teams that need beef up front could use a guy like AD and we would've been in a position of strength.

but we had to get jalen right now.

maybe a little patience would've been good in this situation, no?

chances are any team that has remotely any interest in AD would render us a pick worst than Denver's

I don't know...I'm sure AD and Penny were being shopped all year long. It seems like Dallas might've done KVH for AD, but their pick would've been late 1st, or maybe they wouldnt have included one at all. And don't the rules state we can't deal him back to Chicago? I dunno who else was interested.

Maybe, but I thought Isiah was very patient with this deal. He could have gotten Rose much earlier and the team would have a better record and he woudln't have had to put up with as intense criticism. But he waited for the deal he wanted. One article said he waited months to get Toronto to remove further lottery protection beyond the 1-5 protection Denver put on the pick.

I wonder what the Bulls' fans' reaction is to this trade. I remember they started in realgm a #1 lotto pick thread after the poor start. I expect more trades to come, but this trade alone would probably mean they'd be getting around the 6th or 8th pick instead of a top 3 pick.

Bulls are still in the running for a top 3 pick. Jalen Rose will just make us look a bit prettier while losing.

for the moral victory squad, we will look competitive due to the addition
