Nuggets down 19 in the 4th, with MIN and UTA winning tonight, Denver is 1.5 games out of the 9 seed and 2.5 out of the 11th seed.

IF they lose. Which they might.

Wow, going crazy about one nights games in February. Did this really deserve posts in 3 different threads? Is this really all that Isiah has left you with? Pretty sad.

Isles, I thought you said Isiah had left us with no chance for a lotto pick this year. You should be ecstatic!

Actually I said high lottery pick, if you want to be accurate. I don't equate the 1-3 picks to 10-13 despite them all being lottery picks. Especially in a top heavy draft such as this years.

good thing we'll have the gm with one of the best draft records in the league making the pick.

hey, hypothetically, if the Knicks play their way up to the 12th pick in the lottery and the Nuggets get the 13th pick in the lottery, does the trade look a little better to you? Seriously.

Of course. It's only logical that the 12th and 13th is better than 2nd and 22nd as it stands today. I still wouldn't make that trade because I don't think that highly of Curry to give up that much. We still gave up a ton and Curry doesn't look like the type of player that you build a contender around.

On a side note: 1500 posts. Just 7529 more and I'll catch Bonn. Assuming his mommy takes away his computer privileges for the next 10 years.

Uhmm I read your posts.. and I don't really think your even a fan. You take pessimism to an extremely miserable level. How bout this.. become a Nets Fan. Or.. how about.. emulate your favorite GM.. become that teams fan. That way.. you leave, and let us support our bad team.. in peace. That way your Happy.. and we're happy. SOund good? I've got a better idea actually.. using the ignore feature I just found. Cheers!

Good news! If Denver misses the playoffs, the worst pick we end up with is #14

Utah and Denver both won. Den is still 1 game out of the 9th seed. K-Mart's getting better as the season progresses unfortunately for the Knicks.

Now that Next-Town-Brown has indicated that we have too much youth, guess this thread is ova

huh? Even if you buy the spin that they're trading the pick, it will certainly have much more trade value as a lottery than a late 1st rd pick.

Two late first round picks and Mo Taylor will not bring Al Harrington or anyone of that caliber to the Knicks. But lets say, by some miracle, this pick does end up in the lottery, that'll make it even harder to part with the pick.

If were serious about rebuilding, I say go out and try to get more picks. Don't trade them. Lotto picks don't hurt the salary cap as much and the picks along with the youth we have can grow together.

if the season ended today, Denver would have 17th pick.

even if they won the division. utah is 1 game back and just got boozer back. if utah passes denver, denver has the 14th.

Granger was taken at #17 last year--we're going to have a chance at some really good players this summer.

Nope. This draft is weak. After top 7-10 picks there won't be any grangers or green's.

people thought granger and green would go top 10 minimum last year. lots of folks had green going 6 and granger 5 or 7.

funny things happen in the draft. this time last year some folks thought chris taft was still a lotto pick.

Last years draft was so deep guys like granger slipped. This year's draft isn't deep. No HS,No Euro's. If Granger was in this draft he'd be top 3 pick. Guys in this draft will not drop cause who else is there to take? Nobody.

Denver's winning this game- did you see the stat they flashed breaking down their record from the first two months vs. jan/feb?

They are getting better, not worse.

Nothing like have the 20th & 28th pick in the draft...

They barely beat a bad team without one of its two best players (Rashard Lewis). I wouldn't get too optimistic about that if I were a Nugget fan. That said, if K-Mart, Camby, Carmelo, and Miller all stay healthy, I do expect them to make the playoffs. That's a pretty big if, though.
