Marbury who has not lead us on the court to wins and obviously has been a big time detrimant in the locker room, posibly hurting team chemistry[if there was any?

Briggs - have you ever been in the Knicks locker room?

Who you callin' a Drama Queen?

You give them massive spending, (inherited a vloated payroll that is reduced dramatically next year) massive losing (you gotta crawl before you can walk with Larry Brown), sexual misconduct (unproven), illegit children (you mean like Larry Bird?) and general chaos (general chaos?... or general resentment?) and thats what they will right about.

fishmike - it's not so simple as you paint it.

djsunyc agreed to Give Isiah 2007-08. Whay is the REAL problem with getting off his jock until the yoots and strangers mature past four months on the same squad together?

Really.

IF and ONLY if, he moves marbury in a salary dump as steph is the last legitimate shot at getting under the cap for the summer of 07...

>Comparing what Laydumb has done and Isiah really is not fair.

Briggs - not fair?

not fair because McDyess was damaged goods or because we could have kept Camby and had Nene?

Can you name one transaction during the Layden years that you would applaud?

(inherited a vloated payroll that is reduced dramatically next year)
which he tripled. Yes thats corrent. Check the #s
you gotta crawl before you can walk with Larry Brown
I wish we were even close to crawling, that would indicate progress
(you mean like Larry Bird?)
who said I like or care about Larry Bird? If you want to justify Isiah's poor behavior pick something relevant
(general chaos?... or general resentment?)
Just general chaos. I have no idea why or where you think people resent Isiah, any more than people resent Marv Albert when he was going through his BS or anyone else in this city that gets caught being stupid
fishmike - it's not so simple as you paint it.
It is... it really is. People need to see something. Anything. I gave you a perfectly legit example. When we had a nice little streak everyone got off his jock.

Its not the losing either, rather the way they are losing. The get smoked everynight, and guys are quiting and laying down. Sorry.. it just bothers when the team I love plays like a bunch of little girls. Just wearing my heart on my sleeve there.

Really

He doesnt even have too. If can dump Q/Malik/Crawford we will have max cap space to add a guy with Marbury and Curry. I think that goal is done though... we need to get the right mix of guys in here to make some of this start working. I like Jalen and I think Ratliff/Miles would be very solid also.

that is true, if we can package a bunch of the smaller deals for ones that expire next year, it can happen also. but i weighed the possibilities of someone taking back a q1, malik, or craw for deals that end next year, and i don't think they're very high as they really don't have that much value. steph is still steph, that's why i keep bringing him up as outside of our rooks, it's the expiring deals or steph that can be moved.

Dump Marbury?

He's our best unloved player

>>Marbury has played every game since as the Knicks have gone 1-4, but has been severely limited. At times he runs with his arm held close to his side, and has averaged only 12.6 points and 5.2 assists in those games.

Yes, ofcourse, its all conspiracy to get IT down!

Brown is just lookin to become the GM, and is loosing on purpose.

The players have been paid of to blow.

IT did not really sign JJ, they held him at gunpoint so he had no choice, and then the players union refused to let him declare the deal null and void.

He traded picks away cause they told him the draft will be bad, so he assumed there are no good players in the draft, to only find out too late that you can actually pick good plyaers out of a wick draft.

They paid of Q's ex to take away his mojo and call him a f@g to take him of his game and to mess up his back with some rough stough before breakin it of.

etc, etc, etc.

The Media is out to get IT. Cause they had a little get together and decided to do it just because...
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Do you guys know who Jack Armstrong is? He's a brilliant commentator here for the Raptors and a potential GM candidate for them. It was quite telling when he said yesterday after the Knicks' loss that he'd take Eddy over any big man in the 2006 draft. And he's far from a kool-aid drinker. He's said the Knicks are a mess several times.

who says getting an eddy curry is a precursor to a winning team? he doesnt do a lot of things that causes teams to win games.

the pistons dont have an eddy curry, are they having problems? What they have is balance, solid shot distrubtion, heart, talent that is interchangeable etc... etc.... is he better than Sheldan Williams or Emeka Okafor? I dont think he is, I dont think he is a better all-around player than those guys. does he have the all-around superstar potential of Rudy Gay---NO. Is he more skilled or tougher than Adam Morrison--NO are there guys like Al Horford, Josh Boone Lamarcus Aldridge Hilton Armstrong etc.. that might be better TEAM type players that help you win, more so than putting up numbers in one category?YES. Eddy Curry might be the best offensive talent, but I dont think he is superior to Sheldan Williams and I dont know if he is a better team type player than some of the guys I mentioned. Eddy Curry is no Elton Brand. Hes been in the league 5 years--he shows up sometimes, sometimes he doesnt he sure can score at times, but stamina and weight problems have aggravated inconsistencies. If he has these problems now--unless he shows true hard-nosed grit to get better in mind and body--to commit to play better--i dont know what eddy curry is. So it's wrong to say this guy would be better than anyone in the draft, its not going to be a correct statement, id bet a million $ on that--the odds are highly against it HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY against it if you look at NBA history. the odds of a player being better than Eddy Curry in this draft are so high you could never get odds on it.

another inconsistent flash over fundamentals IT player.

Right now Steve Francis is playing like a top 10 NBA player, better than any Knick. Why would I compare a superior talent like that to anyone on the Knicks sans Marbury? I hate to break this to you, Eddy Curry is no star.

Why evaluate Francis on 2 week period. Look at the guy's character over his career. He just came back from suspension for character problems. Of course he's gonna be on his best behavior now. You can't be naive enough to think that the last 2 weeks give a better assessment of Steve than his entire career gives, can you?

Menace behind the smile

CBA owners: Isiah nasty, incompetent behind closed doors

By CHRISTIAN RED and T. J. QUINN
DAILY NEWS SPORTS WRITERS

>>They were so over-the-top, so strange and abusive, that Diane Bosshard used to gather her staff into her office just so they could hear the rants for themselves. Isiah Thomas would be on the other end of the conference calls, threatening and screaming at the general managers of the Continental Basketball Association.
