I don't think layden ever had as much hate as isiah has had to deal with.

I would find it hard not to slap layden if I met him.

All this isiah hate is uncalled for.

Isiah has yet to face a Garden full of fans chanting "Fire Thomas"

Yeah isiah hasn't gotten that treatment try but when you hear how nasty the media and some of the internet chat rooms you would have thought isiah road the little yellow bus to the garden.

All of isiahs deals made sense its just he has just had some bad luck. Its not like the knicks were all world when he got here. The team is actually better as far as youth and talent goes.

I think isiah is the GM for by. He is the perfect guy to handle the drama.

Some people are this board should be put to rest......

And starting this post its clear you are one of these dumb ****s, Isiah has given Toronto the ability to go after free agents in the offseason with taking on 14 million dollars next year in order to secure us the 19th pick in the draft.....thats special

We have a team of players Crawford, Taylor, Curry, Marbury, Richardson, Frye, Rose, and none of them can play defense...

I would trade Zeke for any GM in the league, he continues to amaze me, and Vince Carter should be a knick right now if we just took on Jalens contract, anyone on this board could have pulled this deal off

huh? what are you talking about? babcock rejected a deal of KT+penny+TT+1st round pick for VC+rose. maybe if embry was the gm at the time it would have happened.

usually a draft pick cost a team 3mm$ to buy. we paid 34mm$

this team is a disaster mess, Isiah desrves sht for praise. 95% of owners would have canned him.

toronto is a rebuilding team, but the guys they are rebuilding with look twice as good as ours.

We got money back from Toronto, so it wasn't $34. they probably gave us $3mill. Also, the pick is an unprotected lotto pick. With Denver struggling and Minnesota playing better with Ricky Davis, it's not out of the realm of possibility that Minnie wins that division and Denver misses the playoffs. Also, it's not like Jalen doesn't help us in the here and now.

It'll look like less of a mess if Q, Rose and Marbury are healthy and in uniform Sunday.

jalen rose makes 3mm$ more than davis, so Im sure thats the money to offset salaries this year--although they lose it right back to the salary tax threshold

well for 34mm i hope we have some luck

as far as this team goes, please stop with the excuses.

Just when the haters said he couldn't get us a pick ........... He goes out and gets us a pick !! Now the next thing the Haters will say is that the pick is meaningless because its not a lottery pick but yet we all know that Zeke is a master at drafting in mid to late rounds !!

Please STOP THE HATE AND LEARN TO APPRECIATE man known as ZEKE !!

look Im not going to use all the profanity as some of the more impatient posters on this forum would, I'll just say this, this trade by zekeis just as questionable as any other move he has made, it by no means entitles people who doubted him to man up. I for one think it was a good trade, but this trade has just as many potential drawbacks as it does benefits that a person could cite to make a claim that this trade was a bad one.

Yeah, Jalen Rose is a world beater. We'll probably have a better record than the Pistons the rest of the year. We might even win a championship this year. SO WHAT!!! He is no big deal either. Horrible defensive player with an attitude to boot. Keep him. I do like the number one pick though.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Picks cost $3 mil if you're not getting a solid player like Jalen. I'm not gonna give Isiah huge credit for this trade. It took no creativity and any GM will a free budget could have pulled it off. But there's nothing to dislike about the trade either. I'll still give it a B-.

Whats so bad about this trade? we get an additional pick (12-20)and Rose becomes an asset next year because he'll be in final year of his contract. We could move him for a player, or let him walk. Its not like were stuck with Rose for 3-4 yrs.

Yeah what is the big deal? People got alot of hate in their blood. They need to relax. No one is satisfied with the team......

I hate Larry because of how he has handles the team on and off the court........ Isiah brought these players here and they all were great deals.....they just didn't work out. Isiah is moving mountains with this team and salary cap. I trust he and Larry will collectively make moves to get the team right.

We just gotta deal with it and hope it gets better.....and yeah we did get alot better with Jalen Rose.

Isiah is serving two masters:

A) The MSG directive: He needs to improve the current product on the floor ASAP, or at least appear like he's doing so in order to get us fans to stay interested (hint-hint)

B) The Knicks directive: He needs to build a team for the future by taking on young but questionable talent (Curry, Woods, Craw) and drafting wisely (nuff-said)

So while he's flailing about with A, he's making progress on B and that's the goal that I AS AS KNICK FAN care about.

The people that point to the payroll aren't being KNICK FANS they're thinking corporately.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Isiah doesn't want to get fired. Every loss conceptually makes conference rival Chicago better. I like Rose and I like the constructs of the deal. Isiah needs to make the play-offs. Rose is a step towards that. More deals are needed.
